uggg voices ruined it

the story was enjoyable as always but the narrator attempting to do voices though was annoying and took away from the enjoyment

i have all books but wish it was longer….

I was very glad to get another Hamish Macbeth series. I have all audible books and hope they will continue. I love this series…

I’ve loved each and every Hamish Macbeth but…

I’ve loved all each and every one of the Hamish Macbeth stories however, the change in narrator was too much for me…a different rhythm threw me off. Story was great as always, but I think I would have preferred to read the book myself in print, rather than listen to this narrator…

a nice short listen

as usual enjoy the narrator and the story. makes the drive time go by faster

Shorter than normal.

This was well done but much shorter story and a bit more predictable than previous books.

AWFUL narration and too short

I know MC Beaton died and she left her writing to a trusted author but even the last book was a disappointment as Angela was in one split second scene, suddenly Pricilla’s dad “admires” him, Blair literally walks away unscathed again and Hamish is left at the…oh forget it…it wasn’t the best…but this one…oy ANOTHER change in narrators…this one seems to go in and out of an American or some other accent that is NOT Scottish…the guy sounds like he does peppy commercials for a living. It’s sad enough our beloved series is coming to an end but couldn’t we at least have our Hamish (the narrator and the character) for these last few books. If not then just do away with him and put us ALL out of our miseries bcuz poor Hamish would be embarrassed by how weird he sounds, as embarrassed as we are hearing it and MC Beaton would be had she lived to hear it

A short story

I wish I had known this was a short story before I paid for it. The story is ok, but without the character and plot development I’ve become accustomed to with this series.

Just Right!

I really enjoyed this quick read/listen. The storytelling was right in line with the Hamish MacBeth we have all come to love. His character was spot-on! Hope to have additional books by Green. He is carrying the torch very well.

Good but too short for price.

If you like the Hamish Macbeth series, you'll love this one. my only gripe is the price. for the most part it's the same price as the other books, but it's not even two hours long. As I said though, that is the only complaint I have. excellent story.

Loved it!

Any HAMISH Macbeth books are a treat. This was no exception. MC Beaton is amazing.
