Great series

I have read all of the Hamish MacBeth books and I love them all. Can't wait till the next one comes out. Hope there is more.

Death of a Liar

Very light reading but still enjoyable.
If you have read one Hamish McBeth you have read all of them.
The reader of the audiobook is outstanding.

Excellent Narration-Graeme Malcolm is THE best!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Excellent story made even better because of the narration. M.C. Beaton's other Hamish Macbeth stories are ONLY good if Graeme Malcolm is the reader. Others don't do justice to the story.

One of the Best in the Series

Although one doesn’t have to read these books in order, I have done so, and it’s so interesting how the characters, particularly Hamish, have grown and matured throughout. Really a well done series of books, and very well narrated. I shall be sad when I read the last one!

Love this series

My only complaint--I wish the books were longer! I hate to see them end.

The narrator is top notch to my American ear--I love the accents of the different characters and I can understand everything they say.

The plots are actually real puzzles to solve--sometimes I get it before the 'reveal' but sometimes there's a neat surprise twist.

Keep them coming!!

Hamish does it again! Loved it!

Beaton's Hamish Macbeth is as charming as ever. He's on the trail on yet another murder suspect threatening his beloved Southerland.
With his Highlands intuition and help from friends, he tracks the suspect down. Now, if could just find a wife!

A whole lot of work

To me this is one of the best books by MC Beaton. She keeps the action going nonstop. I do feel bad that our red-headed bobby can’t find a girlfriend but he sure gives it that old college try.
