Good to have an assistance from this book.

Somehow, the audiobook cleared a lot of things in my head and I’m ready to be free from my parents’ immaturity. One ought to read this because you will not be able to feel the extent of the destructive nature you’re in. And trust me, it won’t be easy but at least having assistance like this is mighty helpful!

Something to meditate on.

I don’t want to make it sound as if my parents are very bad, but they can be very selfish and controlling at times. Glad I was able to internalize these insights from the brilliant author. I was almost teary-eyed by the time I finish the book. I was able to connect with this book that no other book has done.

Relieving!

I don’t have any doubts this will work for me because it’s clear and accessible. It’s like the author knows what’s exactly going through my mind and my heart. It’s helping me untangle my thoughts and feelings and it’s relieving! While some of the recommendations are perfect, some are not. But this is okay for me.

Pretty good.

I’m not certain when I might have to consult a guide like this, but I’m just glad I discovered this extensive book. It’s suitable for anyone who feels they’re isolated from family members, who have emotionally unavailable parents and parents who want to be the best for their child no matter what.

It’s illuminating!

I had a better knowledge now how I was hurt and neglected as a child and how that affects me now as an adult. Come to think of it, I spent money on psychologists to no avail. This conclusive audio has been a great assistance providing me with tips to be successful on my way to recovery and included many markers for where I want to go and how to get there.

Can be a very healthy read.

I believe I have raised my children very well, but like any other parents, I’m not perfect. The things I have read on blog posts about emotionally unavailable parents are very disturbing. That’s one of the reasons I want to study more and many parts of this book have helped me a great deal understanding what emotional maturity, and the lack of it, actually is and how I can prevent myself from turning into one. This can be a very healthy read.

Not your average book.

Not just your average self-help book. In some way, it felt good to know that I’m not the only one suffering from abusive and emotionally immature parents. The thought that I can still do something is slowly easing the burden and my shame. I’m putting all my trust in this book. It’s that VALUABLE.

An intriguing book.

Lizzie Richards passes the qualifications of an excellent narrator. The riveting book reveals the real definition of parenting and how to be an unconditional one. There are some theories here that I find intriguing, too.
