This is a YA Book? I'm in my 60's and loved it

These two series are being referred to to as Young Adult books. I'm in my 60's and most of my reading and listening is Non-Fiction or Science Fiction. Never Fantasy. Yet I'm thoroughly entertained by this interesting blend of fantasy and science fiction. The characters are engaging and the story is exciting and satisfying. Campbell/Hemry's formula of good, brave people selflessly doing their duty, who eventually win out over the people who are only out for themselves, is very well-executed. While that formula is consistent, the stories, complex situations, and creative solutions are very well-thought out and interesting. And he creates "heroes" (who never think of themselves that way) that are just very very likable. MacLeod Andrews is masterful. No matter how old you are, give Pillars of Reality and Legacy of Dragons a try.

Great way to start a new series

curious what could happen next tho? This is a good story but also a good way to end the Pillars of Reality series.

similar yet different

Very similar to the prior series and that's the good news. And there is no bad news. Yay!!!

Better and better

I'm a huge fan of the original books. MacLeod Andrews gives another great performance. Story held me the entire time. Enjoyed how the wove in elements of the original books with new material. Great book for older and teen listeners.

Nice transition

Like Mother,like Daughter. Traditional carryover to the next generation. Love the altruism missing in today's society.

Excellent as Usual!!

Jack Campbell did it again!!! The "Daughter of Dragons" was an excellent read/listen! This Sequel series to the "Pillars of Reality" series is as entertaining and suspenseful as any of the prior works - and is a fitting tribute to that legacy!!

very good YA Story with VA little extra bang

This is more YA but it needed to be to start the new series progression.
if you like the other series in this setting, I bet you will like this one just as well.

Dematr has learned that speaking to Urth people can be very disastrous. Kira. daughter of the daughter has to avoid an Urth mother in order to save millions of people on many planets. with the help of friends and family the Urth mother leaves thinking she got what she wantef..
