On the same night she discovers she is pregnant, 28-year-old nurse Meg Richards' husband is killed in an auto accident caused by a drunken teen.

James Thomas, the teen, comes from one of the most influential families in the community. He's a star athlete and glamour boy at the local high school. Angered by her senseless loss, Meg blames God for what has happened and considers a decision that could change her life even further - until the D.A. intervenes. The results of the brutal trial enrage Meg, leading her down a frightening path of retribution. When the opportunity for revenge comes unexpectedly, will Meg follow through? Or will the remnants of her faith lead her in a different direction?

I think this book is very well done both in content and narration. I wouldn't want to be in this lady's shoes but the book shows how fragile our connection to God and the guidance of His Spirit is sometimes, and how patient God is with us on the road that leads to His kingdom. That sounds really heavy but it is well worth the credit.

Although I’m a huge fan of Ace Collins’ “The Color of Justice” this book is not quite as good. Collins has produced a thought provoking story about anger and retribution,
yet as a woman i felt that there were parts of Meg’s life that didn’t match up with some of the decisions & thought-making processes that would have actually been made. But, i may be assessing this from a naive viewpoint so perhaps it must be read and considered from your own!
