Great flow and keeps your interest - I recommend!

I chose this book because it was 18 hours and the narrator is one I have come to enjoy (great buy). This is a new author for me, but I will say she did the dang thang. Although, I was looking to get away from the urban urban urban fiction (money, sex and drugs), the way this book flowed was a lighter version.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept me wanted to know more. The one enormous twist was waaAy far fetched but a great way to tie the book together. The story made me wonder if some of the issues were true, like the exclusive clubs and how they incorporate others. It was chock full of juice.

The villain was a true villain (nasty expletive, lol), I wanted that character to get it so0 incredibly bad. So the outcomes didn’t happen as expected, but that is real life, as well.
I recommend, it was a really good read – looking for my next adventure.

I wanted to give it more stars but...

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I think that Dynah could have tightened up the writing in this book because she literally introduces several new characters in the book and they just show up with no warning. She has good writing skills but it seems as if she took a wrong turn in this book and never got back on track. The book just drags on and on. And also, she is trying to build a storyline around four main characters. She really could have almost made this into four books and used each character in their own book. They could have still been supporting characters for each other.

What was most disappointing about Dynah Zale’s story?

There were missing pieces to the story. One minute a little kid was a baby and the next thing you know you've missed a big chunk of their childhood. In some instances there were issues that came up in the book and you never got any closure to the story. And then a new set of folks showed up in the storyline. Well, why not tell me what happened to the other characters instead of bringing in new ones. There was most definitely a disconnect. It's almost as if she had a lot of good experiences she wanted to share but then did not know how to organize them and polish the story.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Karen Pittman?

This book had way to many characters to only have one narrator especially since she had four main ladies. To make this book more lively it would have been good to have Marc Damon Johnson and Kevin Free as the male narrators and Patricia R. Floyd and Karen Pittman as the female narrators.

What character would you cut from Drama in the Church Saga?

Dean and his grand father

Just ok

This book was ok. I understand forgiveness, letting go and letting God and all that but it was frustrating listening to the constant despair of the good and continuous triumph of the wicked. Not really drama filled. The narrator was awesome though.
