Everyone said it was bad…

The performance sounded decent. She did a good job. She didn’t sound older than the FMC. I seen so many bad reviews that I was afraid to buy this book. I’m glad I did. The narrator really got into the story, and I’m grateful. I love everything about this series! Jericho has a special place in my heart 🥹🤣

I absolutely have the voice you chose for MacKayla Lane. She sounds like a 60 year old woman, not 22

....it took me listening to the book a couple times to accept the narrator's voice for her

LOVE this book

I purchased this on audible because I’m in love with this series, all of Moning’s books are amazing, however….. the narration is just not right. The woman sounds older than the actual FML and the voice she uses for JZB is borderline painful. I really wish I knew this before buying it.

Meanwhile, her books are definitely worth the read, this series especially. But read them, don’t spend the money on the audio BTW, it takes a lot for me to criticize an audible like this, kind of feel bad doing it, but it really is a turn off after reading the books.

incredible

This book, the performance, everything was incredible. I was in a reading slump and couldn't figure out what to read. I've tried to read this book without audible and found myself distracted and not absorbing it. This is 100% one of the best books I've ever read, there is no easily figured out plot. everytime I tried to guess something I was wrong. it really was amazing.

Great Potential

This story has wonderful potential, but the narrator distracted from the story with the off-the-mark voices and parts of the story itself detracted from the enjoyment overall because they seemed wholly unnecessary and purely existing for smuttiness rather than that of being crucial to move the story forward.

I hope it gets better. I won't be listening to book 2, however. I'm hesitant to read it, as well, but I want to give the series a fair chance. The story itself is rather interesting and I want to see what happens.
