This book kept me engage and entertain with spooky vibes from deep under the cold sea.

Spooky, mysterious and happy ending

The performance was riveting and vocals great to listen to. I will look for more narrations by the speaker

Keep me on my edge of my seat!!

This was so FUN & kept me wanting to keep listening & not stop! My hair on my arms stood up almost the whole time after dive 2 until the end. Loved it!!!

Such a unique story

This book was a massive success. Very well written a preformed. I will be reading/listening to more books from this author.

A deep water fright

I enjoyed the spin on what usually happens on the land happening g under water. The story was just scary enough to keep me awake but not enough for nightmares.

Do you ever just scream?

Do you ever just scream at characters in a book saying, "Are you kidding me?? Stop doing that! You absolute pack of fools!" Well, this will have you yelling all of that and more. A band of scuba divers who apparently crave their early departures from life make several trips to a Bad Place and interact with Bad Things. Claustrophobia, deep water, forces from beyond and a very fun parallel backstory make this a read that I'll return to on a sunny day well above sea level.

Beautifully done all around. Ghost ship with a twist will leave you wanting more stories like this one.

So so good

This was my first Darcy Coates and I was so into this story! I wasn't sure if it was the deep ocean creating hallucinations, a haunting, a monster, a curse, or something unknown and it kept me guessing till the end. I loved the parallel timelines where we got to see into the past and walk through the final days that led up to the sinking that the current timeline is diving at. Great audio book, definitely recommend.

At least there was a resolution?

Overly breathless, too much tell and not enough show. There wasn't enough story for the length, and it seemed half the time dwelled on someone feeling some variety of uneasy. It tried too hard to make the reader feel scared instead of allowing it to happen naturally.

Meh

I love Darcy Coates but I’m not sure what about this book doesn’t grip me. Sure it’s “creepy” but meh. I couldn’t wait to get through it to move on. I’d recommend her other novels over this for sure.
