Wonderful series!

Can't wait for the next book in the series! Love that David the police detective to finally let's his girlfriend assist with the murder investigations. I think it's great that they are also engaged in the last book. I also love the fact that the books are themed with food as their titles and food is part of their story. I believe that you will really enjoy the book about a small town and the changes it goes through with the murders taking place that didn't happen before, as well as the changes when a real estate mogul comes in to start buying up property. Enjoy!

Sweets With A Side Of Murder

Standard fare in this series. Ms. Daley follows her police detective boyfriend around and helps solve murders. Unbelievably she interviews suspects, expects and gets the police to give her free access to confidential reports, and monitors the detective's location at all times. A nice break from standard police procedurals, but predictable and at times tiresome. I was gifted this from the author.

You must be able to tune out the narrator and focus on the words to enjoy these stories.

The narrator was unbelievably bad. The different voices she used were horrendous. I can look over a lot, but it was very challenging for me to get past some of the characters voices. It’s really a shame because the stories were interesting.

ENTERTAINING, QUICK, COZY MURDER MYSTERIES

CHOCOLATE WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the first book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries. You will want to read it before continuing with this boxed set.
---------
CARAMELS WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the second book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries. They do need to be read in the order of release.

I enjoyed the story of the psychic who couldn’t see her own death in the cards. I guess you can’t read your own? The side story of Sabrina’s friend, Shannon, trying to decide between her two guys and the tizzy Miss Terri’s prediction is leaving her in is another source of giggles for me. I could just imagine how the poor girl is second-guessing herself. How was this psychic doing so well for herself and why hadn’t anyone killed her in frustration sooner!?

As a cozy mystery, Ms. Potts did a great job! She kept me guessing and entertained. I truly loved it and hope to read/listen to more of this series as they come available.

---------
APPLE PIE WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the third book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries. While each will probably stand on its own, it’s probably best to read each in the order of release.

Wow! The mystery behind the lights in the old Waterstones Estate has been solved. It’s sad, but believable and relevant. Still we don’t know what happened to Sabrina’s sister or the mystery behind the invite-only, men-only meetings at the old banquet hall.

I loved the list of suspects and the possibilities of why each could be the villain.

This is a quick and light, easy to read cozy mystery.

----------
LEMON BARS WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the fourth book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries. While each will probably stand on its own, it’s probably best to read each in the order of release.

I have come to the conclusion that this series is wonderful as a “my first cozy mysteries” for teens and tween.” The series is fun, easy to listen to, and easy to follow. The characters and the town are growing.

This is the series I turn to when I need a cozy, but don’t want to think too hard. That isn’t a put down. That is me, relaxing. That is me, recognizing the advantage to a simpler plot line. Too often real life is overwhelming and a simpler plot is just what I need to get through, or, as I said earlier, it becomes a great first cozy series for younger readers.

-----------
COOKIES WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the fifth book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries. While each will probably stand on its own, it’s probably best to read each in the order of release.

The best release yet in this series. Ms. Potts has really grown as an author and it shows!

While still a good cozy mystery for teens, there is plenty of suspense and intrigue to keep this adult on the edge of her seat and holding her breath in many places.

I love David and Sabrina together. Their romance is on a slow burn and I continue to hope for a ring for Sabrina.

----------
HALLOWEEN CANDY WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the sixth book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery series. Each stands on its own, but they are even better when you read them all and in the order of release.

I love this series of short cozy mysteries. This one in particular had a more personal touch of involvement for Sabrina. That loss of a friend made the story emotionally moving.

I will always be ready for another book in this series.

--------------
CHRISTMAS COOKIES WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the seventh book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries series.

This was, by far, my favorite of the Daley Buzz audiobook releases. Set during my favorite season, the story has more substance than past offerings in the series. I feel that the characters are starting to grow

“That said,” it’s getting better, but there are still a lot of raised fingers, wrinkled fingers, knitted eyebrows, and scrunched noses. You could play one heck of a game of Bizz, Buzz, Bang with these five phrases!

------------
Narration: Lisa Beacom began being the voice of this series with the second book. She started out a bit shaky, with a speedy delivery, though a great voice. She does the characters well and has “theater of the mind” down pat! I often wanted to find the button to slow her down. I would find myself saying aloud, “Take a breath! It’s okay if it’s four hours instead of three and a half.”
Once she had a few books under her belt, she improved in leaps in bounds. It is now wonderful to listen as she blooms as an artist honing her craft and to recognize the progress. I feel that she took the constructive criticism of my previous reviews to heart and did her best to slow down and enjoy the reading herself. She made me enjoy the books more as well.

Another enjoyable listen

I enjoyed listening to this box set as much as I liked listening to the Mysteries of Treasure Cove box set. I wish I would of listened to this one first since they are related and these stories came first. You don't have to read or listen to them in order though to enjoy this author and her characters. I enjoyed listening to the narrator as well. I would recommend both to other readers and audio listeners.

Who Will Wind Up Dead Next

A whole lot happens in this box set. Sabrina and David solve a whole lot of murders and advance their romantic relationship while celebrating the holidays and eating lots of sweet stuff.
In addition, Sabrina finally finds out what happens to her sister and Jake the real estate tycoon finally gets his comeuppance as a couple of the underlying plot lines get resolved.
I'll admit that these stories are often a bit formulaic as we follow the couple from interview to interview in their efforts to track down the real culprit but it's always entertaining to try to second guess them and to beat them to the solution and getting the entire saga in one neat, tidy package is both economical and convenient.
If you like getting your cozy mysteries in large, economy size boxes, this is the series for you.

A great read.

This series was excellent to listen to. the storyline was believing, and the narrator did a great job convincing you you could be there watching it all happen.

8 Delightful Mysteries

Sabrina Daley runs a coffee shop with her mom and grandmother. On the side, she solves murders with her detective boyfriend David. These 8 books run through her relationship with David til he asks her to marry him. Each mystery is fun, and unlike a lot of Cozy Mysteries, Sabrina is not relationship challenged. Each of Sabrina's mysteries, I got to know more about Sabrina, and she always was careful and didn't do foolish things. Sabrina is a woman that I loved getting to know. The narrator does an excellent job with the voices and makes it easy to get into the story.
