FASCINATING ✨

I loved the story, as I remembered my own Venezuelan culture and lore intertwined by our indigenous natives and more specially the African slaves in every line, paragraph and chapter. Performance & story are A1

Indept and nuanced relationships

The portrayal of a very complex family dynamic was fascinating. I learned a lot about Nigerian society.

Pure definition of hard to put down! Finished with a day or two. Well written, great narrator that could actually pronounce the names.

Generational curses

This book touched on a lot of things that families go through especially in an African or a black American home. We have our traditions and also our superstitions. I really enjoyed this book.
