Can’t Seem to Find the Words

This book reminds me of days growing up at my grandmother’s house. This a beautiful story of friendship and relationships…the ending was not what I expected to happen .

compelling story

story, presentation, and reality are so exact, I grew up in the deep south, and this is so factual.

The emotion and feeling the readers gave the characters made the story come to life.

The authors description of her characters struggles made them real, made them likable. I didn’t like that after everything Annie had to endure that she had to die.

Immersive story

This was an excellent story. It was told in a way that transported me to rooms being spoken of. The narrator were excellent. Tayari Jones remains my favorite author.

Spectacular and well worth the wait!

I just finished Kin by Tayari Jones, and I’m still thinking about it. The characters felt incredibly real—flawed, funny, complex, and deeply human. Tayari has a beautiful way of weaving humor and truth into a story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. You’ll recognize pieces of family, community, and even yourself along the way. A powerful story and absolutely worth the wait.
