the story is amazing. the vocal performance is equal. Just what you would expect from jack carr. top marks all around.

The authenticity

The perspective of the Vietnam war through the eyes of a MACVSOG operator and the story of the main character.

Jack Carr does it again.

Ray Porter was fantastic as always. Jack nails his 8th book in a row that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I cant wait for more from Tom Reece and hopefully more James in the future.

The accuracy of the historical references throughout the book. I love Tom Reece and his character as it relates to his son.

What an absolute snooze fest

This released yesterday and I think it’s going to be a DNF. Despite reading his first 7 books, I did notice the quality got worse as the series progressed past Savage Son. However I was cautiously optimistic when Carr decided to write about the father of his original protagonist.

Yeah, the preface almost put me to sleep, I’m 4 hours in and I still don’t know what this book is about, the authors gear obsession needs to just stop. It was cute in The Terminal List, now it’s just annoying. 0/10 would recommend.
