Right where we left off!

This is a great sequel! Waited for this to come out, and can not be happier! Agree with the other reviewer, support character development is excellent!

This writing team does not fail. Their story lines and plot twists is excellent and well though out! Can’t wait for the next installment for this line, and the Ember world.

Frightfully realistic scenarios

Fascinating, fast-paced, and frighteningly probable story plot. Anyone well-versed in the IC and SOF spheres understand too well how these scenarios had or (heaven forbid) will happen. The subtext is uncomfortably true: enemies are within the city gates and sadly, they look, walk, and talk like the natives. The authors’ presentation of the antagonists’ point of view is non-judgmental and crafted in such a way that the listener cannot help but understand—if not empathize—events and forces that shaped their convictions. The authors AND narrator merit the highest praises for their outstanding work on this book. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️! I eagerly await the third book.

Sooooo good

Absolutely amazing follow up to first book. I can’t wait for the next one. Ray Porter is a LEGAND and should narrate every audiobook.

Andrew’s & Wilson’s best book yet.

I’ve listened to all of the JD books and Chunk books and this one started off as similar story line. As expected, but the ending set this one apart. Did not disappoint, definitely some foreshadowing leading up to it and I’m glad it did. It had a subconscious build up to the ending which made me feel more attached to the situation. Well done men, can’t wait for the next Chunk book.

Loved this story!

This novel fits perfectly in the Tier One world. Literally caught myself feeling anxious at points. The part involving Saw and family pulled at the fatherly heart strings! Cannot wait to see what’s next with the Tier one and Ember teams.

If ever it becomes a movie/series don’t let them bastardize the story. Great job Gents!

Great 2nd book to a hopefully long series

Lots of actions and a great story line, similar but different enough from their other books and other writers to make it intriguing. Lots of details too. Highly recommend.

While some is over the top; narration is good and the story is as well! Will be waiting (not so) patiently…

Fast paced, full of action and Military humor

Plenty of action and sarcastic humor to keep you wanting to hear this story in one seating. Fast moving, but detailed, you can picture the story in your mind's eye. Enjoyed the Narrator!

Does set up for the next book in the series. I'm anxiously waiting for the next book.
