Publisher's Summary

"I listened to you, years too late."

“I don't have a right to complain.”

Tattoo artist Floyd Turner's faith in justice was destroyed when he was a rookie cop. He struggled for a couple years with drinks and his own anger. He's long past that stage - now he runs a tattoo shop downtown. But despite his fulfilling career, he's nervous about the upcoming high school reunion. Not having a date to bring there reveals his insecurity: he aches for something more. And then, when he thinks things can't get any more stressful, his former patrol partner walks in.

“These tattoos better make a difference.”

After his past caught up with him, cop Greyson Peters became a fitness instructor and moved back home. His old career was hard from the start, and he's always struggled to find a healthy outlet. He's slowly healing, pouring his energy into exercise, but he's still got unsightly scars he wants covered. It's hard to be a playboy when his self-confidence keeps taking hits. Worse yet, his family keeps pressuring him to get back into the force.

“I turned my pain outward, you turned it inward.”

With Floyd's family chasing him for a debt he's long since paid and Greyson struggling to find closure for the career he still misses, the two old classmates are drawn together. Both men are openly gay now, and they slowly realize they could always be fake dates for the reunion. As their feelings strengthen, can they even hold out until the reunion to admit that they're both afraid of wanting more? And can they open their eyes and see the support all around them?

Crunch is a steamy, stand-alone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliff-hanger.

The Riley Brothers sage continues

Now that the Riley brothers have all found their one true love, we find ourselves following their friends on their journey's to find their own HEA.

This book finds Greyson and Floyd reconnecting after losing touch some years ago. Greyson finds himself back home and running into Floyd unexpectedly.

Floyd and Greyson find themselves forging a friendship that they lost so long ago and that friendship turns into so much more.

I can always count on E. Davies to provide me with a feel good comfort read and not only did this one not disappoint but when you add Michael Pauley on narration there is nothing better in my opinion.

I am looking forward to seeing what these two bring for us in the next Riley brothers story.

Ex-cop partners... reuniting... M/M hotness!

First of all, Michael Pauley is one of my favorites. So, I already know I'm going to enjoy listening to the book regardless of the story. He never lets me down. He is AWESOME!!

This is an addition to the Riley brothers story ... not related.

Two Ex-cop partners coming together years later... wow... to think they worked so closely together but weren't attracted to each other then. Hmmmmm Hard to believe. But it happened. LOL

Floyd's mother was a wack-job. Her way of thinking drove me nuts. I feel sad for people who actually have a parent like that. Interesting character for sure. I wanted to hit her! ;)

Love the way the Riley brothers include them as part of their family (of friends). Heartwarming. Great author.

You will enjoy this book.

Second Chances

I absolutely love this story and this whole series. The story of Floyd and Greyson is touching, sweet, and very hot as they overcome their pasts together and build their relationship. The narrator is spectacular, he is definitely my favorite. He has a way of portraying the characters and the story that he pulls you into the story and leaves you hooked from beginning to end.

overcoming your past

I enjoyed this story as a book and I think this narration is a great companion piece. Michael Pauley does another great narration and helps bring the characters to life.

Fabulous series with a fantastic narrator

*sigh* I love this series. I was a bit curious when I found out Floyd was going to be the subject of this book. We saw him a little bit in the previous books, but we really didn't know much about him. I wanted to know what he was going to ask Alex for help with in the last book, and I'm glad we found out what it was. I do wish we knew a little more about the dynamics between Floyd and his parents and I wish I knew a little bit more about what happened to make Greyson really leave his job and have people talking about him. I can guess, but I'd really like to see more story and resolution to that piece of his character. At first was a bit deflated at how the Brett story built up and then went away so quickly, but after processing it all, I thought it was handled brilliantly. It showed Greyson being able to control himself, Floyd be able to stand up for himself, and the two of them trusting the other to handle it right. Any other resolution wouldn't have made sense (especially with what a coward it sounded like Brett was years ago).

I am finding that I love the writing style of E. Davies. The books aren't too angsty but still have a good story, I get to see the perspectives of all of the main characters, and the guys are just wonderful. I love being able to revisit the Riley Brothers. I'm looking forward to the next book!!!

I listened to this as a re-read on audiobook, I am once again struck by how amazing Michael Pauley is as a narrator. He breathes Ed's words to life, and I really can't get enough. Fabulous series with a fantastic narrator.

Beautiful addition to the Riley Brothers

Floyd and Greyson are completely adorable as they figure their way around each other and into their relationship. Floyd's background is interesting and completely not what I thought it would be from the previous books. Greyson showing up, insecurities included, causes Floyd to look for more. I love how well written E. Davies's books are and hearing it in audio is an even greater treat.

Michael Pauley does an amazing job with the narration of this story.

Loved Floyd and Greyson!

This was an excellent addition to the Riley Brother's series. I was so happy that we got Floyd and Greyson's stories. These two had some past hurdles to overcome and they do it beautifully. There are some sensitive issues from both of the MC's pasts that were handled well by the other characters and by the author. These two men build a strong foundation for their relationship and find ways to be there for each other. Floyd and Greyson may not actually be Riley brothers but they are so much a part of the Riley family that they may as well be. I love reading stories where people have a safe place to land, friends to support them, and build a loving relationship. E. Davies is top notch at giving us those stories with very little angst, if any and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. As always Michael Pauley did an excellent job on the narration for this one!

Amazing!!!

I love Floyd and Greyson so much!!! Just their story is just amazing. I love that E. Davies has expanded to the friends of the Riley brothers because their friends are definitely more like family. This is just like every story that E. Davies writes which means that it is sweet and such a beautiful story that I couldn't stop. Then you have Michael Pauley again doing the narration is just prefect. Michael just brings these characters to life and I can't get over how amazing this story is listening to it.

A strong pair

I loved how Floyd and Greyson were able to overcome their respective pasts to be the support and strength that they each need. It is lovely to see their connection and how their personalities mesh so well with one another. I love the support that they receive from all of their friends no matter what it is they want or need. I love the narrator and how well he does these stories.
