Enzo and Damon are wow.

This book is sad 😢 going in and the on going turmoil these two men face is so difficult to imagine dealing with. The family that has lost an adult child due to horrific circumstances. Damon lost his sister and his mother has Alzheimer's and he has to tell her over and over that Katie is gone because she forgets. Enzo lost his brother and is faced with his family members dealing with the loss. He feels that they blame him and wish it had been him. These two men have a chance meeting and really hit it off even before they find out they were both part of the same tragic event. They are drawn together as friends but much more. They learn to talk to each other and work through their grief. They soon realize they are attracted to each other as well but will move slowly. These men are exactly what they need, each other and have fallen in 💘 love. This is a freaking awesome book and the narrator it's perfect for this.

Good and Bad

First, I am a big RH fan but there are times where her writing is a bit well, boaring. I say that will all the respect I can muster as writing a novel takes time and love. This story had good, funny moments but then there were moments that I just tuned it out.
My issue is that it seems to just go on and on with no resolve or pick up in the plot. it all just seemed to drag on.
Michael Dean did a good job with this narration (sometimes he can be too much).
Not a bad story, just not a good one.

Straight men in balls deep! Hot hot hot!

Ok, so parts of it is sad because of the way Enzo and Damon met. Other than that the story is about how two straight men's bond grows beyond platonic... it is so gradual and natural... so beautiful. Riley is such an awesome writer and Michael brings the book to life. Awesome! Listening to their chemistry develop is so addictive that you won't want to put the book down until completion. Yummy!

You will love it. Enjoy!

An absolutely beautiful story of...

Loss, finding oneself, redemption, and love. The entire book flowed beautifully from beginning to end, and Michael Pauley did it justice with his incredible narration. Loved it!

LOVED it!!

This was in my Top Five Reads of 2019, so when the audio came out with my favorite narrator it was a one-click, must have audio. Even with Michael Dean being my favorite narrator, it was a tall order as this was one of my favorite love stories to date. But he blew this narration out of the water for me. He did an amazing job of bringing Damon and Enzo to life for me. He even had me blushing through some of the steamier scenes.

As I mentioned, this was in my Top reads of 2019, so much so my friends probably got tired of me bringing it up! Damon and Enzo’s story evoked so many emotions in me and I knew that it was a story I found the time to re-read again, or in this case picking up the audio. First time, Out for You is one of my very favorite tropes because of all the emotions involved with the characters. With both Enzo and Damon having never been with a man before, these emotions were heightened into so much more for me. The way they just clicked from the first moment they met, and as they evolved from friendship to lovers to family just grabbed at my heartstrings. They each had suffered such a tragic and emotional loss that only the other could understand. The way they were each other’s support structure helped each of them find a way to manage their grief and begin to feel and BE again. Their story pulled so many emotions in me and I found myself smiling, laughing, crying a bit, and overall just feeling so swoony over these beautiful men who found each other in their darkest hour. I couldn’t recommend their story more, whether you pick up the book or audio.
