Publisher's Summary

A song of love won her heart.
A song of darkness haunted her soul.
A song in the dance would seal her fate.

Seers had long foreseen an extraordinary destiny for Ellysetta Baristani. Already she had won the heart of the Fey King - the magnificent Rain, ever her ally, eternally her love. She had saved the offspring of the magical tairen and fought beside her legendary mate against the armies of Eld. But the most powerful and dangerous Verse of her Song had yet to be sung.

As the final battle draws nigh and evil tightens its grip upon her soul, will Ellysetta secure the world for Light or plunge it into Darkness for all eternity? As she and Rain fight for each other, side by side, will they find a way to complete their truemate bond and defeat the evil High Mage of Eld before it's too late, or must they make the ultimate sacrifice to save their world?

Exciting series conclusion; terrific performance

C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series is brought to it's stunning conclusion in this book. It's made more exciting by the terrific performance by Emily Durante as she brings the characters to life. Each character is given a different voice, and the appropriate emotion is infused into the characters at the right time.

I owned the books for years before getting the Audible edition, and I love how much more exciting the books are when I'm listening instead of just reading. I highly recommend the experience, especially this final book, since there are so many loose ends that have to be wrapped up. Hearing how each one is taken care of is an experience you won't soon forget!

One of my favorite series!

I really love CL Wilson's world. The story, the amazing descriptions of everything in this world meaning the clothes the smells the feels the food the animals the sights how things felt. A truly amazing amazing storyteller. I wasn't crazy about the narrators. but obviously I'm going to listen to this series over and over. it was just weird after reading the books to have the stories told by the narrator. she just didn't give it enough soul I think.

Good!

A great ending to a great series! I'm still disappointed that the romance took a backseat to the rest of the plot and it felt... lacking to me. The emotions just didn't feel right, I guess. But the plot was fantastic, the characters great, and the world is fantastic!

Epic Finale!

The final chapter of the Tarin Soul saga is, in a word, EPIC! It’s so many things that you wanted it to be and the action did not disappoint. I loved that Ellie realized that she could make her own path and that her dreams were an option not a foregone conclusion. However I really wanted to know more about the Baristani sisters and what happened to Mellisand and the other babies that were created/bread by the Mage, there were a number of characters that became a bit more interesting than Ellie and Rain by the end and wish that the post-climactic scenes included more of their stories. Otherwise a really good action packed end to this lovely fantasy romance!

Too long

It's super good, but it's too dragged out. Some parts can be condensed. If you like romance go ahead but it’s not worth 16 hours.

The narrator is so horrendous...

*I returned this before even starting it! I valiantly made it halfway through the last book before realising I couldn't allow her to ruin such an amazing, epic story. I AM now reading it on Kindle...& trying to get the terrible 'voices' out of my head. Infant school children performing Shakespeare would give more pleasure & meaning to the words!!!!*
This series is one of my all time favourites but I'd rather listen to a computerised voice reading it than this narrator! Far rather...in fact, I've returned all 3 available Audible versions & bought them on Kindle; I already own the paperbacks. The voices she uses for the characters are truly awful and not even the emotion comes through as you'd want - the FMC whines ALL the time. The other accents are like caricatures. I'm truly sorry to sat this about favourite books of mine. :-(

5th book

I only read this book to find out what happens. The whole book is basically about one long war. It's not as good as the previous books but it ties up loose ends quite neatly.
