Almost perfect

Excellent story—but with all these amazing narrators, feels like they REALLY missed the mark by not going with the full cast duet narration 🥺

Tessa Hale did not disappoint

as always there was good character development. you understood the pack dynamic well. I love that her characters are always so real because they're broken in so many ways. They are also whole in other ways. It ends on quite the cliff hanger. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Did I binge listen to the audio for this book this morning?! YEP!!

I have this week off for Spring Break and I’m making it a goal to mood read to my heart’s content and if that means not listening at all, then so be it.

But along came this audiobook and I knew I’d have to listen ASAP—there’s just something so wildly addicting about Tessa Hale books! And Crescent Kingdom is no exception. ✨💜🐺🌙

Wren is on the run from a dark past when she finds herself in Crescent Creek, Colorado. In the few weeks since she has arrived she has carved out a somewhat safe existence for herself—until some locals return to town after a mission.

It’s clear to Wren that Kingston, Puck, Locke, Brix, and Ender are wolf shifters—all with their own dark pasts/histories. But it’s easier to keep everyone at a distance just in case she needs to run again.

And when dark mages suddenly attack one night no one can be sure of their motives—not with so many secrets swirling around.

I love that all of the characters have such distinct personalities (and their own narrator on the audio!) and POVs. This author excels at differentiating between the many MMCs in her why choose novels.

I was also a huge fan of how Wren was able to establish a genuine connection with each pack member. This book definitely focused on solidifying pack bonds and setting the tone on backstories! Yes, there’s some spice! But it served to enhance the growing intimacy of the connections the FMC feels for her MMCs.

As with all of her books, this one ends on a cliffhanger—and it definitely leaves you desperate for more! I can’t wait to read what happens next!

I love this universe!

I was so thrilled to start Wren’s story! I’ve read every book in this universe, and the story was exactly what I was hoping for. We got instalove, reluctance, complete denial! Secrets, betrayal. The bonds are everything I was looking for. I’ve never been disappointed in a Tessa Hale book, and that trend continues! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Wren and her guys in book 2!

I totally didn't see that ending! Another amazing book by Tessa Hale. I'll be counting the days until the next one releases.
