Dark Female Lead with Trauma and Love

Haven has developed in-depth characters that take in a life of their own in this thriller dark romance. The main heroine has experienced trauma and deals with her strong emotions the only way she knows how. A mafia man hunts her down after the heroine murders some men and there is where the twisted and dark romance is developed. This is a detailed story giving the listener a clear picture of the titillating story with twists and turns aplenty. 5-Stars for those who revel in darker themes of love and trauma.

The book started out a littel slow, but that changed not long into the book.

I enjoyed the story a lot.

Dark Romance with a Killer Past

This was an amazing dark romance that kept you hooked until the end and wanting more! This book was set in the 1950’s when women did what they were told by their husband and didn’t shake things up and when mobsters met in secret clubs to plot their next move. Vivid is a night club singer and waitress, but her lust and hunger make her into something else off the clock. Vivie has a dark and gruesome past which leads to her current predicament of being wanted and killed for murder. Lt. Dean has a past just as dark, but he’s keeping secrets from her to try to keep her safe. I loved that both characters were strong, independent, and protective of one another and still had room for growth. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold, the steamy scenes, and how it ended.
Kinsey and John did a great job with this narration duet! They both flowed smoothly and kept you hooked from the start. I loved the different character voices that they used, the accents, and how much they brought their characters to life!

It's Got it All!

Lotsa cravings going on here!
Great story about Vivienne, she's a gutsy, cool broad and I love it!
Darkly delightful, this one was so much fun to listen to. Story was great, narration was great, really enjoyed it :)

The best I have ever heard

This audio is the bomb. I have not read the book prior and I am very glad for it. Haven did an amazing job picking both narraters. It kept me wanting more. I loved at how the female and male parts where done separately. You felt like you where there listing too them. Kinsey Cass southern accent was spot on. John Burgundy did not make me cringe during the hot and steamy scenes like some others have done. I love Haven Cage work and this audio topped it.
