Publisher's Summary

These Royals will ruin you.

Ever since Hartley Wright met Easton Royal, her life hasn’t been the same. There are enemies behind every corner and dangers beyond each door. When tragedy strikes and steals her memories, she can’t trust anyone, not even the blue-eyed boy who promises her everything will be all right.

While Hartley’s memory is full of gaps, her instincts tell her Easton is dangerous. She doesn’t know if he’s the snake in the garden or her chance at salvation. The chaos he brings wherever he goes is too much to handle, the intense feelings he evokes are too confusing to unravel.

Easton wants her to remember. Hartley thinks it’s better to forget. She might be right. Tragedy. Treachery. Trust. Hartley has to face the facts - in this world, you can’t escape the Royals. Either you live by their rules or you die by them.

Let down

I really enjoyed the rest of this series but this one was too unbelievable. I was very disappointed. I also had a hard time listening to Hartley’s narration. The voice felt off.

Ready Change

They switched the female reader and her voice / accent is NOTHING like the character started out in the previous book. I almost didn't even listen to it, it is sooo bad. However, I was already invested in the story from the previous book.

Mostly Unnecessary But Has Resolution

I like this better than book 4, but it could be because I was just desperate for some resolution.

These are decent overall, but they weren't really necessary to the series. They feel pretty different from the first two books, despite containing the same world, some of the same characters, and plenty of drama. There's an element of the ridiculous that is gone from these final two books. I can't decide if that is good, because it can make for a better story, or if it's bad, as that is why I was reading this series in the first place---to watch the ongoing train wreck.

Overall, not a bad story, but it's incomplete without book 4. The two have to be read together to make sense, since each book is essentially one half of one story.

This is a Must listen

Cracked Kingdom is the 5th book in Erin Watt's The Royals series. It is the conclusion of Hartley and Easton's story. This story picks up where book for left off, so it should definitely be read in order.

I completely devoured this story, wanting to know how it would end. I was on the edge of my seat, hating some characters while falling in love with others .I laughed out loud and felt each and every emotion possible as I experienced this story. I love the world Erin Watt created and I truly hope there will be more stories about the Royals in the future.

PS- Zachary Webber and Angela Goethals do a a fantastic job of narrating this story. I truly enjoyed their performance as well.

Great story

Crazy and very intriguing. Keeps you on the edge and turning page until you finished. I definitely recommend this series.
