Publisher's summary

When sparks and curses fly, more than just high-profile weddings are thrown into danger.

Every wedding-planning witch worth her wand knows that the dress must be an Aurelia custom creation. The magical fashion designer to the who's who of the Seattle Haven is in high demand with a waiting list that would make most wedding planner's eyes water.

Luckily for her clients, witch wedding-planner extraordinaire Anastasia Winters has inside access to the famed fashion designer and a knack for making deals. However, on an after-hours errand to pick up a dress, Anastasia finds herself walking into a battleground. When the dust settles, Aurelia is locked in the grips of a powerful - and seemingly unbreakable - curse, and Anastasia is the only one who witnessed the vicious magical attack.

When she starts having visions and nightmares, she knows she has to act soon or risk losing her friend and haven fashion icon, forever.

A fun listen!

I'm just starting out this series having been a fan of the Beachwood Harbor grouping of stories. It's fun to follow characters and get to know them more that were introduced in Beachwood Harbor. Amanda Ronconi I could read me a take out menu and I would listen!

love these stories

so I really love this series the characters are fun, the hidden magical world is neat! I'm totally invested in the characters and find myself yelling at them lol like when the sisters fight haha so you know it's a good book. omg and when Ana's boss is a jerk I find myself wanting to rail against her and tell ana to quit her job and start her own company! For the love of stars let the sisters get a bigger place to live I mean seriously when the years lease is over upgrade to a two bedroom!!!

overall totally worth a listen

So much fun

This has it all: witty banter between the characters, laugh out loud moments, and a story line that keeps you bespelled to the end. A sweet story with nothing heavy or inappropriate. It is fun to the end. I highly recommend.

Cute

I enjoyed this book, it was very short, but cute! I'm starting the 3rd now; they are quirky little witchy rom-com books Imo lol. I'm sure I will check out the rest of this authors books since they are quick, cute and fun!

great series.

I really like the characters in this series. I hope it continues for quit a while. The story was very interesting and original. I do love it when there is a mixture of suspense and humor. The narration as usual was really very well done.

Growing On Me

I am new to Danielle Garrett and in love with her other series Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mysteries and was very disappointed in the first volume of this series. I think it is about expectations. This is a short sweet cozy mystery. Very light on romance meaning we acknowledge the main character has a boyfriend who is a detective for the SPA (the supernatural governing agency through all the series) but not much beyond that. Some of the elements are predictable and feel somewhat forced and the wedding planner job becomes more of a prop to create a set up for what is happening. I did enjoy some of the character development in terms of Anastasia's growing power and the action and tension of the story was fast and furious considering the whole story clocks in at just over 4 hours. There were less annoyances in this second installment than in the first and you see the use of magic in more fleshed out ways in this story. We are seeing more of how the main character and her boyfriend are both workaholics devoted to their jobs meaning they don't have much in the way of community, and the main character is always on and off with her sister in terms of conflict. Amanda does an amazing job as always with the narration. For those looking for a fluffy cozy with promise of a happy ending and tension that never lasts too long with a barely there sprinkle of wedding planner theme and magic worlds to boot this will be right up your alley. Though if you enjoy this I believe you will like Garrett's other series even more.
