Secret Service Agent Oakes Weaver is in the midst of the biggest assignment of her career - leading the advance team for President Andrew Powell's impending trip to Philadelphia where everyone expects he will be nominated to run for a second term. The last thing she needs is a tragedy among the president's inner circle that might not be an accident, or the sudden recruitment of Ari Rostof, a woman who might be a lot more than she seems. But Oakes doesn't get a say in policy, she only has to secure the president's safety - at all costs.

First Daughter Blair Powell and her spouse, Cameron Roberts, are among the reelection campaign members accompanying President Andrew Powell to Philadelphia. While the president may be protected by his Secret Service agents, those close to him are literally in the kill zone, and his adversaries will stop at nothing to further their cause - even mass murder.

Changing narrator really took a lot away from this presentation. Abbey Craden developed the characters for me and it was if they were unrecognizable. The story itself was not my favorite in the series.

Too much of a change

Narrator was fine, but Abby Craden had been reading the whole series and now there was a change. I think the change disrupts the air storyline.

I loved Abby reading this series in the previous books. Keira's cadence is too choppy and some of the dialogue sounded like artificial intelligence instead of a human being. I liked the storyline, but felt there wasn't enough of Cam and Blair.

I have read or listened to probably about half of Radclyffe's books and this is likely the only one I haven't really cared for at all. The story and plot were meh at best. The narrator probably would have been fine if the bar set by Abby Craden wasn't so high, but you can't go from Abby who can have 5 characters with dialogue in a scene and you know exactly who is talking to Blair and her father in a scene and not knowing who is talking. It just shows how good Abby is.

Probably the weakest book by the author

All the other books in the Honor series were narrated by Abby Craden and she did a wonderful job. After listening for a few pages of this book, I stopped and purchased the ebook.
