Unique Alpha and Omega story!

A truly unique story in the Alpha/Omega world with Mpreg. I wasn't sure what to expect going in to this as it was a new author for me but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Our omega, Ty, has fought many battles to get where he is in life and he hasn't let anyone else's opinions persuade him onto a different path. He is strong, loving, and dedicated. Carter, the Alpha that comes into his life, is unlike the other Alphas in this story which is a very good thing. Even though these two start off very unconventionally, Carter makes the necessary effort to be there for Ty. Ty's brother was, well he was entertaining and every time he would show up I found myself chuckling and wanting to high five him for all that he was doing for his brother. The story itself is full of meddling, hateful, irritating parents and an extremely distasteful ex that try everything they can to come between Ty and Carter but watching how these two dealt with everything that was thrown at them will make you believe in the strength of relationships again. Ty and Carter believed in each other and supported each other, talked through everything, and communicated properly which kept the bad eggs from being able to win. I'm looking forward to the next story in this series and since I skipped the first one I will probably go back and read it as well. I have yet another author to add to my reading list.

My reason for lowering the overall and performance star levels were the narration, not the story. The story is awesome, the narration I wasn't exactly a fan of. I had to speed it up to 1.20x to be able to bear it and then there were certain voices that the narrator would use that made me cringe. I was enjoying the story too much to stop listening though which says alot for this author's talent.

great story, HORRIBLE reader

I'm sorry, I love this book, but I have heard this narrator on a number of different book series on audible, and he is legitimately one of THE worst voice actors I have ever heard. His cadence is off, his tone is unnatural, and his pace is so slow that I have to set the speed to 1.25x in order to even be able to listen to it at all. The only reason I even gave him one star is because during non-sex scenes with zero dialogue, when I have the speed set to 1.25x, he doesn't sound horrible. But it honestly sounds like this narrator had never heard people speak to each other. At all. Ever.

Love the story, narration not so much

Carter and Ty did everything backwards in this unconventional relationship. If it wasn't for all the drama with Ty's ex and his parents, they would have had a beautiful marriage. But goodness, how can Ty's parents be this uptight and ignorant. All the craziness they put Carter and Ty through became tedious after awhile. Aside from that it was good seeing their relationship progress to such a truly positive outcome. I absolutely love Keegan and hope he gets his own story. He's truly the best big brother. First time listening to this narrator and I don't like leaving a negative review, but his performance was just horrible. I stuck to listening completely because I made a commitment to review and I enjoyed the story. If interested in this book I'd recommend reading instead of listening

The book is good, the narration not so much...

Carter and Ty had a bit of an unconventional start, but they managed to overcome all obstacles in their way and find their HEA. They had a lot of chemistry and the story was engaging and interesting.

Unfortunately, the narrator didn't work for me and I don't know how many times I stopped because I'd had enough of his voice. I actually had to increase the speed of the audio to make it bearable, which is something that I'd never done. So, I'm very sorry, but I just can't recommend the audio.

emotional

An emotional ride. I empathized with the main character and all he'd gone through. The hospital scene after the birth was harrowing and I shudder to think what could have happened if an intervention hadn't happened. One precious bundle is better than none, but I grieved with him too. A sweet ending. I enjoyed the emotional journey. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Good story horrible narration

The story was pretty good. It was a bit predictable but for its genre it worked. I bought the audiobook because I liked the book, but the audiobook was terrible! The narrator spoke so slow and droning I had to speed the narration just just for it to be palatable.
One of my biggest pet peeves when listening to an audiobook is when all the characters sound the same. Barring any character with a specified unique accent they all sound the same. It was really frustrating. I would not recommend the audiobook. It took a concentrated effort to finish the book, which was a shame because it could have been great.

Great book in this series!

Ty and Carter have a lot of difficulties to overcome before they get their HEA. I like how hard Carter works to win Ty over. I also like that Ty's brother supports them when very few others do.

Contracts & Craziness

This book had me hooked early on and I just had to keep going until I finished! With interesting characters and the absolute creepiest of circumstances, I was desperate by the end to see how it all turned out and couldn't be happier with the read!
Keegan was my absolute favorite character with his funny antics and always get involved in situations or the advice he gave. I had a great laugh wherever he showed up! Carter and Ty 's relationship was so sweet and I loved how everything worked out between them 🥰. I'm definitely going to invest in the rest of the books in this series!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

good story - on the fence on the narration

Would I listen to it again: i'd be more inclined to read it rather than listen to it
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace, interesting array of characters with good depth of personality, and a story that flows effortlessly.

A contract for marriage and a baby - nothing more than a business arrangement for Ty (lawyer omega craving a baby) and Carter (baseball star alpha who fell victim to a scam artist losing all his money). The perfect solution to both their problems - easy peasy - right?

Narrator comment: I'm on the fence about the narration, Guy Veryzer has done a reasonable job with the narration, Each character has his own voice and the emotions of the story are there, I"m just not convinced the voices he's given each character is reflective of their personality or does them justice.

Married for money!

Ty and Carter are an unlikely couple. A old money lawyer with an ascending career and a poor baseball player. But they match and there’s spark between them. It has a sweet hea.
The narration was too slow and passive for me.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

4.5 stars

I liked this book much more than the first book in the series. Although the start of Ty and Carter's relationship is wrong on so many levels, this time there is nothing to dislike in either main character. The marriage occurs well before the love, but otherwise the growth of their love is realistic.

I love how descriptive this story is. Once again, there are dreadful relatives and a beyond awful ex. I particularly enjoyed Keegan, whose behaviour and clothes add light relief to heavier moments.

As usual, it took me a time to get into Guy Veryzer's narration. Some of his reading is a bit "sing-song", but I enjoyed listening to most of his characters' voices.
