This book was previously published under the title The Taste of Fear. Given that the story takes place deep in the Congo jungle, a truly terrifying place, I decided it would be a good fit with the World's Scariest Places series.

AI narrator!! Thumbs down!

What could be an exciting story is turned monotonous with the boring voice of the fake narrator droning on. Really? We do not have enough people to read books for a living we have resulted to having a computer read for us instead? Robotic voice, no emotion and dreadful. I gave up after I realized I still had 5 hours left to listen to the cyber dud reading blandly and pronouncing words incorrectly. What a shame.

Virtual voice is terrible.

Virtual voice. Not realistic at all boring. Inflection all wrong. Words are all mispronounced. Performance is the best part of audiobooks.

virtual voice needs work

Story was ok, not my favorite from this author. The virtual voice is pretty annoying and needs a lot of improvement. Weird inflections such as making a statement into a question by putting a strange uplift at the end.

Great plot!

I just started listening to this author amd so far I have really enjoyed his books...they are definitely horror stories...highly recommend:)
