Publisher's Summary

This book is great for those just starting out in programming. And for those needing more advanced coding knowledge.

The author explains everything step by step in a simple and easy to understand way. This book covers JavaScript, HTML, SQL, CSS, and Python programming languages. The narrator in the audiobook version seems to be pretty good. He doesn't drone on. This book is a combination or bundle of two books. One book is 27,000 words on just Python, and the other book is 27,000 words on JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and CSS. The audiobook is 10 hours and 6 minutes.

In the first book in the bundle, The Ultimate Python Programming Guide for Beginners, you will learn all the essential tools to become proficient in the Python programming language. Learn how to install Python in all major operating systems: Windows, Mac OS, and even Linux. You will be guided step by step from downloading the necessary files to making adjustments in the installation for your particular operating system. Learn the command line shell, and how to use it to run Python in interactive and script modes.

Discover how the Python interpreter functions, and learn how to use the interactive command line shell through practical examples you can try on your own. Learn datatypes and variables in depth, with example code and discussion of the generated output.

Numbers are covered in detail, including a discussion of the four number types in Python: integer, float, complex, and boolean. Learn about Truthy and Falsy returns and how they relate to the boolean type. Practice with some of the many built-in python math functions, and discover the difference between format() and round() functions.

Strings are one of the most important variables in any programming language. Learn in-depth how to explore, search, and even manipulate strings in Python. Practice with Python’s built-in string methods.

Learn about Python’s control structures and how to use boolean logic to achieve your software requirements.

Inside the second book in the bundle, you will find an introduction to JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. These are computer programming languages. Some of them are more precisely referred to as scripting languages.

Starting with JavaScript, I will introduce you to the above-mentioned programming languages. Hopefully, by the end of this book, you will have the answers to the questions of what it is and what you can do with it.

JavaScript is a programming language that allows for the implementation of complex items on static web pages. Every time you look at a web page that does something besides display static information, it is a pretty safe assumption to make that JavaScript is involved. It is often referred to as the third layer of the cake.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

The foremost Programming/hacking guide on the web

Let me just say I've tried to learn how to code Python, HTML, SQL, and CSS from other guides but nothing compares to this one. It is by far the easiest book to follow since it goes step by step on doing things but also goes into depth not just for beginners, but for intermediate and even advanced coders too! I have learned so much and would recommend to anyone out there. 10/10!

Good information poorly presented

The information in this book is pot on but the narrator has Avery poor grasp of the content, often mispronouncing words and placing emphasis in the wrong place. The editing also often lacks in that there are several places where sentences are repeated. I know that this type of information is difficult to read aloud but, some knowledge of the information imparted to the narrator and editor would have helped.

It Works!

This book took me from the basic information to the actual programming steps. Once I had the basics down I was able to venture out into creating on my own. I loved the JavaScript section the most because I was able to apply what I learned on my own website. The steps where so easy to follow and since this audio comes with a PDF document is impossible to get lost.

Really powerful book

It's impressive that the author compressed 5 languages into one book, and that's the reason why I choose this book. Actually I got solid basic understanding of each language from this book. The narration is really personal and I like this style.

Great Coding Guide Book

I purchased this book because I need additional reading material besides my textbook. This is an all-in-one quick guidebook for me, however, it includes enough information for beginners. I used this book to help me understand my courses material.

Good book

It’s an overall good book but you need lots of patience because it’s too much information to be processed so you need to listen to it at least two or three times, be prepared and comfortable when you read it.

Save $$$ and get this All-in-One!

There are several books out there for each programming language. It can be daunting trying to keep up with all those books and flipping between the pages for answer. This book covers the popular languages that are being used in the real world. The best part is that its all in one book, with no fuss! I appreciate the approach of the authors on the application of each language or code. It's refreshing to see what each language can be applied to in a real world scenario.

Very interesting to listen to!

I got this Audio Book for my partner as she has started coding and is very interested in JavaScript. She has only had it for a few hours, but she has already learnt more then only watching videos and reading blog websites. From what she has shown and told me, I'll be listening to it after her! sounds really interesting! Many thanks

Highly recommend

This book was exactly what I was looking for. It allows a beginner to easily understand the foundation of coding, and then dig in further to being writing code. I work for a tech company, and while I don't need to write code, I wanted to understand the fundamentals better when talking with our developers. This gave me what I needed and more. Great book!
