Publisher's Summary

Overcome Anxiety, Depression, and Negative Thoughts!

If you feel as though your mind is the enemy, that you are always dealing with excessive anxiety, chronic depression, or fear so crippling it may well be a phobia, then the thoughts themselves may well be the culprits. If you are interested in learning more, then Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: The Essential Step by Step Guide to Retraining Your Brain - Overcome Anxiety, Depression and Negative Thought Patterns is the book you have been waiting for.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that analyzes the response you feel to specific sets of stimuli and then asks why it is that you feel the way you do. As phobias, depression, and anxiety, when left untreated, can all lead to irrational responses to common scenarios, they can easily result in altered perceptions of reality and all around distorted thinking. When used correctly, CBT offer patients an alternative that promotes realistic, healthy thought.

In this book you will find:

  • CBT exercises used by professionals to help people dealing with a wide variety of anxiety, depression, and phobia issues
  • Tips and tricks to retrain your brain and break negative thought cycles once and for all
  • Reliable ways to face your fears, confront your personal demons, and become the hero of your own story
  • And more…

So what are you waiting for? Grab your copy today, take control of your mind, and start your healing journey!

Great content but you should get the print version

The content is very good, but you if you like to listen to audible in the car, this is not going to be very effective. You should be taking some notes, not possible while driving. I listened to the whole thing, and I am going to have to buy the print version to really put any of the strategies into practice. Also, I feel like the person reading the book is a little robotic and does not pause properly between sections.

Perfect Starter Book

I downloaded this book as my first self development/self help book. I have a lot of anxiety and spend my entire day in stressful environments. As a result, I exert quite a bit of energy giving into anxiety and negative thoughts. This book was a great introductory to gaining understanding and learning some practices to help get my anxiety and triggers under control. I felt very motivated and confident after reading this book. I think it was the perfect choice for me to start with in terms of learning how properly train the mind and better control thought process. The book was very easy to follow and understand. The narrator was great too and not monotone considering the topic. I’d recommend this book; however, if you are like me, I would still expand on this base knowledge and concepts with additional material.

Feeling hopeful!

Well thought out and not hard to get through. I listened to the audio version and will listen to it again! There is a lot of information, so be prepared to take notes! The narrator was good but I had to dial back on his speed of delivery, this is adjustable in the audible app. This is book 1, I will listen to it again before moving on to book 2. This is a good starter to changing your negative mind into a positive one.

Easily Understood and Explained

I really like the fact that you were taken through severely important topics that can and will change a person's life if practiced on a daily basis, inconjunction with a CBT Practitioner simultaneously. Personally being a CBT PRACTITIONER student myself I found new angles to express the information I've already learned. Good listening.

Sounds like it was read by a robot

I'm struggling to finish this one. I was hoping the information could be of some use, but it sounds like someone fed the text into a text-to-speech programme and hit "record". It's really off-putting. All apologies if Bob D is a real human narrator, but it didn't sound like it, and that made the information difficult to absorb. If the publisher opted to cut costs on audio book production and use AI after all, please don't make this mistake again. People want to hear other people telling stories, even dense information like this.

Thank you for this amazing audible book about CBT

Any additional comments?

This guide was exactly what I was looking for to test the waters with cognitive behavioral therapy. I'm suffered from moderate to severe anxiety for years. I know it is a problem and I really want to get over it. At the same time though, I just don't want to see a therapist right now. It is too expensive and too intimidating. This audible book provided me with an alternative. An easy, step-based approach to using CBT strategies in my life immediately. I love how the audible book is geared towards action and real steps for improvement. The same day I bought the audible I was able to start implementing some of the suggestions in my life. Give it a try and you're surely like it!
