Overcome Anxiety, Depression, and Negative Thoughts!

If you feel as though your mind is the enemy, that you are always dealing with excessive anxiety, chronic depression, or fear so crippling it may well be a phobia, then the thoughts themselves may well be the culprits. If you are interested in learning more, then Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: The Essential Step by Step Guide to Retraining Your Brain - Overcome Anxiety, Depression and Negative Thought Patterns is the book you have been waiting for.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that analyzes the response you feel to specific sets of stimuli and then asks why it is that you feel the way you do. As phobias, depression, and anxiety, when left untreated, can all lead to irrational responses to common scenarios, they can easily result in altered perceptions of reality and all around distorted thinking. When used correctly, CBT offer patients an alternative that promotes realistic, healthy thought.

  • CBT exercises used by professionals to help people dealing with a wide variety of anxiety, depression, and phobia issues
  • Tips and tricks to retrain your brain and break negative thought cycles once and for all
  • Reliable ways to face your fears, confront your personal demons, and become the hero of your own story
  • And more…

Great content but you should get the print version

The content is very good, but you if you like to listen to audible in the car, this is not going to be very effective. You should be taking some notes, not possible while driving. I listened to the whole thing, and I am going to have to buy the print version to really put any of the strategies into practice. Also, I feel like the person reading the book is a little robotic and does not pause properly between sections.

Perfect Starter Book

I downloaded this book as my first self development/self help book. I have a lot of anxiety and spend my entire day in stressful environments. As a result, I exert quite a bit of energy giving into anxiety and negative thoughts. This book was a great introductory to gaining understanding and learning some practices to help get my anxiety and triggers under control. I felt very motivated and confident after reading this book. I think it was the perfect choice for me to start with in terms of learning how properly train the mind and better control thought process. The book was very easy to follow and understand. The narrator was great too and not monotone considering the topic. I’d recommend this book; however, if you are like me, I would still expand on this base knowledge and concepts with additional material.

Good Intro to Self Help with CBT

This book is a good introduction to CBT for those looking to use some of its tools on your own. This book is not an advanced manual for clinicians.

This is a good guide for someone who doesn't know anything about CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and is curious to learn a bit about it.

This book overwhelmed me with data.

I've generally been interested in CBT, particularly as somebody that manages on edge inclinations and so forth. This book overwhelmed me with data. I've had discussions with different psychological well-being experts throughout the years about intellectual conduct treatment and keeping in mind that I had a dubious comprehension of it, this book demonstrated to me how little a really knew.
