At the age of 52, I decided to transition from being a professional golfer to being a financial advisor. Obviously it was a major switch but it was something that I was passionate about and I had always wanted to do. My parenting years we’re about to be over so I finally had the freedom and I pulled the trigger on the new career! I encountered, and am still encountering some biases, perceptions, and certain limiting beliefs about me as a woman in the working world, more so than I did In the golf world. It was unfamiliar and difficult at first. Six years into it I find this book and it really articulated many of my experiences. Hearing Leanne’s perspective helped very much and has encouraged me to look at a few things differently. I’m excited and I have more momentum. I only wish I would’ve read it at the onset of my new career. I’ve always been an advocate of women and I salute Leanne and her support of all of us! Thank you!

A must-listen for professional women
Leanne Meyer offers actionable advice for women in today’s professional landscape. The Spiral Staircase has a unique perspective and provides many insights I had not heard before, resulting in “aha” moment after “aha” moment. It is an enjoyable audiobook with a lovely narration by the author.
If you are a woman who wants to grow in your career or anyone who wants to help women, this is a must read.
