Publisher's Summary

I interview my neighbors in our shockingly haunted town Wellesley, Massachusetts and I transcribe their tales for my blog Ghosts in the Burbs. Three women told me a horrific tale from their past and in doing so involved me in their horror. You may have heard part of this story before but I didn't tell you everything.... This is the complete story of Claire.

If you subscribe to the blog no need to buy

I am a big fan of the blog however I thought I would be reading more details about Claire. Its basically what you read/hear on the blog if you follow in sequence. A few extra snippets from Claire but really nothing more.

If you listen to the podcast, dont waste your time.

I love the podcast so much, I’m always waiting for new episodes! So of course I was so excited when Claire was announced. To my disappointment, there was nothing new in this book that hasn’t been said on the podcast. It was just all the stories pertaining to Claire already told meshed together. Waste of a credit.

Most of this story is in the podcast

... but it is still awesome! I love Liz's voice and couldn't imagine anyone else narrating.

I love Liz!!

I absolutely love this book. I have been a fan and supporter of the podcast and am delighted to be able to listen to the book. Liz is funny, real and just a little snarky which is one of the best parts! Keep it up Liz.

Great podcast and even better in novel form.

My wife got me hooked on the podcast. This was a neat and tidy rehashing with some great new details. It takes a lot to keep my attention and it speaks to Liz’s quality as a author/narrator that even though I largely knew the story I listened to it straight through on my long flight. Can’t wait for the next one.

Love the story but

It is an edited version of several podcast episodes. That being said, Liz is an awesome narrator and I love her Ghosts in the Burbs podcast and can’t wait for more!

Even better than the podcast, somehow.

I love the podcast Ghosts in the Burbs and was stoked to hear Liz had turned some of the episodes into a book. Listening to Claire via Audible was kind of like listening to a nice, long Ghosts in the Burbs podcast - but somehow even better than that. Liz is so talented. She writes great stories that are creepy and scary without being gross or bodily horrifying. She's also a great reader of her stories - she knows how to read her own stuff and engage listeners in an authentic way.The stories are unique, but Liz is familiar in that she presents the character of herself as a normal person with normal ups and downs (for the white/suburban/middle and upper middle demo, admittedly). The stories are also realistic in that people's reactions to extraordinary circumstances are believable - there is no mellow-drama here (thank goodness). This is a great book, well worth your time - and so is the podcast. I bought the ebook AND the audio book because I like it so much. I can't wait to see what Liz does next - I will buy it sight unseen.

Waste of money

This is ridiculous, it's some of her podcast episodes rolled into one 4 hour episode. Except, you know, not for free.

It stops at a ridiculous part and offers nothing new. It has a few lines from Claire's perspective and that's it.

Poor form liz.
