An interplanetary battle is renewed in an epic novel of a warring solar system by the author of Ballistic.

The war should have been over. But it’s not for a group of nationalists grabbing for control.

It’s been two weeks since a missile with a nuclear warhead tore through the planetary defenses in the most blistering large-scale attack ever committed in the history of the Gaia system. Commander Dunstan Park of the Rhodian navy has been handpicked to command an experimental cruiser that could dictate the course of the escalating conflict. All he has to do is keep the ship from falling into the wrong hands.

On Gretia, the powder keg is beyond control. A terrorist attack against civilians draws Idina Chaudhary into a costly battle. It also forces a cautious Aden Jansen back into the fray. Now dedicated to a just cause, he’s still keeping his past hidden. The risk of exposing his former alliance could twist not only his fate but also that of his sister, Solveig, heir to the family empire.

With no time to waste, Dunstan hits the ground running. But as insurgents threaten the unstable peace, what’s ahead for both sides could change the destiny of the Gaia system forever.

Aventura Ciencia Ficción Militar Space Opera

Reseñas de la Crítica

“A series you should start if you are a fan of grounded space opera with a military lean. The Palladium Wars comes at straight-up military fiction from an angle that keeps it interesting.” (Locus Magazine)

Honestly, the story is solid. I've been loving the series and can't wait for the next installment. My only problem is the Voice Acting. First book's VA was perfect, second book was ok but did good. This time, he just isn't the right fit. Having to hear a new VA do new voices for established characters, especially when he doesn't sound like any of them, is very distracting from the story.

Stop Changing the VA

Wish Luke Daniels could read this. Or at least stick with one person.
Lack of continuity of readers persona for characters is distracting.

Why keep changing the reader?

Marko Kloos continues to write strong deep characters with believable motivation. This is also a complete, if short novel unlike Ballistic. It’s a good read with strong action scenes.

The narrator is… not terrible, just subpar. It’s annoying to have 3 narrators in a 3 book series. Overall an improvement and worth a read, just do kindle & not audible.

Best of the series

I have loved this series. It’s been a fun listen. The reader for this last book started off rough with a lot of evidence that he didn’t do much research on the series and just showed up to read. He got better over time, but his cadence and intonation on every few syllables made it seem like he was reading this war story and sci-fi action book to a group of elementary students. I actually sped up the reading to 1.1x and it seemed much better. His little vocal ups and downs weren’t as noticeable then.

Great SciFi Series for Audible

First let me say this book was one of the best books in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stories of each character. The only thing that I have any groups about is the different narrators throughout the series. While I enjoyed each and every book this one was the best of the three. Each book is more like a chapter for each character rather than ace book. So in reality you only look at citadel as chapter 3 for each character.

That’s a history major I will say that the occupation of any kind a country stem lace resistance. During the story you can understand the history of occupation from our own history and how people tend to rebel against their occupiers. Afghanistans rebel against every occupier that took over their country. This is no different then our own history.

I will say I can’t wait for the next book.
