Story
It’s really hard to pretend like life is normal when you’re staring a monster in the eyes, though he’s both tempting and irritating in his human form. I put my days as a hunter behind me, unable to cope with the death and pain anymore, to become an upstanding citizen and for what? To assist Lake, a man who claims he’s not a monster but keeps talking about me like I’m edible and–even worse–wants to woo me?

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Taking place nearly a century before the events of A Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin's ongoing masterwork, A Song of Ice and Fire. Before Tyrion Lannister and Podrick Payne, there were Dunk and Egg. A young, naïve, but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals - in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg - whose true name (hidden from all he and Dunk encounter) is Aegon Targaryen.

So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Publisher's summary
"One minute, everything was normal for me, and the next, all hell breaks loose."
I'm a cop with the Alandale City police force. I love my job; protecting the public and getting rid of scum was what made my day. Everything was going just fine until my lunch was interrupted by some rich, arrogant jerk in an Aston Martin who thought he could just speed past my squad car and get away with it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I wrote Mr. Ledéo his speeding ticket, but after what happened to me, I wish I had just let him go. Maybe then, my world wouldn't have been turned upside down and inside out.

Chosen for Perfection!
I love the Demon Gate series and the unique and naughty writing of Nicholas Bella is one of my favorites. Reading it, I definitely had a mental image of how the characters voices would sound. While Brian's voice is amazing, unfortunately, I don't feel the same about Raphael's voice. Michael O'Shea, who I think is a good narrator, needs to work on his Italian accent a bit more for Rafael. It should be a lot more smooth and cultured and less "pizza man". Otherwise, the others characters voices were spot-on with the story. Highly recommended!

Amazing
I loved the book when I first read it. The audiobook takes it to a whole new level. The voices are so right on for each character. The story line is just so unbelievable you can see this happening to Brian and he's just a good guy and boom now he's a demon. I also loved how Raphael just stalks him till he gets what he's come after. Then Brian finds out what's got to happen every month and he just doesn't think he can handle it. He does! The sex scene is just Wow.
Can't wait for the next on

very good, too short
I liked this book alot, after coming off a binge of werewolf series this was a nice change up.
the narrator did sound a bit like super mario at times, but the story was captivating and unique enough for me to look past all that.
the beginning is pretty rapey though, I really felt for our main character.
I most definitely recommend this book, I hope the series stays good.

Contains only 1 short Erotic scene.
This is a weird mix of erotica and story. The pacing is weird. It's a short book that's less then 3 hours that i feel wasn't long enough to really do anything interesting.
The Erotic moment is at the beginning of the book, the rest is filled with a very non existent plot, it's the beginning of setting up a story but since the book is so short, it doesn't have enough time to start anything.
For a close to 3 hour book, a short Erotic scene at the beginning and no other erotica for the rest of the story was a let down.
I dont really recommend it, this series I feel like could get deceivingly expensive since this seems to be showing a good example of a book being cut up and sold as seperate books since this first book just isn't even pretending to be complete. It feels like the first 2 chapters of a book and then it's missing its remaining chapters.

Grabbed my attention from the start. Irascible MC that had all of his free will taken forcibly from him. Not a beginning that was not easy for me to experience, but was necessary to the story. Have to read more.

Unlikeable hero is just the start
A book which portrays a rape scene as sexy is not for me. Just because it is two men rather than a man and a woman doesn’t make it okay. And the narration is very over the top - particularly the ridiculous Italian accent.

Straight guys don’t have crushes on other dudes, right? Except my roommate, Whit, is intriguing, and I find myself watching him constantly. He’s a mystery I can’t figure out and these feelings I’m having about him are confusing. Then, one night, I find myself wrapped around him, and after that, I can't get enough. But Whit has secrets. He doesn’t let people in, and the more I fall for him, the less I know. I can't let him go, though. Until I realize I’m going to be the one broken at the end of our story.

Story
It's nearly Christmas, Julia Devine's favourite time of the year. She's just programmed a wonderful lead into the holidays at Sunny Street Cinema, which leaves her plenty of time to worry about going home to Cumbria for Christmas. Her mum and stepdad are fine, but the thought of spending another holiday with her awful stepsister Becca is enough to make a Scrooge out of anyone. When Becca calls to let her know about the dreamy pilot she's bringing to Christmas lunch, Julia finally snaps and does something very silly.

She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. How can life possibly get better? (It can’t, obviously. It can only get much, much worse.) Soon Dee is forced to share her adorably cozy home with her parents and estranged grandmother. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. If that weren’t enough, she discovers her hot nemesis works there, too.
