Story
Eric Cayden is many things: cocky, smart-mouth, sexy as sin, and great in bed. What he doesn't want to be is bothered by other people's drama. His best friend Jordan thinks he's wasting not only his life doing odd jobs for money, but also his superhuman abilities, when he could be so much more. It's not until he's forced to get violent with some very bad people in order to save Jordan's life that he sees the truth. It's at that moment when he realizes that he does have a place in the world: making the villain pay. That is when Eric becomes Cobra.

Story
Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman gives an understated and exemplary performance of this satiric look at the unreality of American media culture. Chance, the enigmatic gardener, becomes Chauncey Gardiner after getting hit by a limo belonging to a Wall Street tycoon. The whirlwind that follows brings Chance to his new status of political policy advisor and possible vice presidential candidate. His garden-variety political responses, inspired by television, become heralded as visionary, and he is soon a media icon.

Stephen Hastings is a control freak. All I saw were his clear blue eyes, tight butt, and ripped torso. I gladly handed him my V-card that night, 10 years ago. I was so stupid. I swore I'd never be that stupid again...Emmy Barton works for a dry cleaner? She says she hates me, but when we fight, it's all heat and lust. I won't leave her this way. She will let me help her and her son. She will stay...It's a thin line between love and hate, and this line is on fire.

Story
Sure, my life isn’t going exactly according to plan - I have a degree that led nowhere, a crappy job as a closing-shift barista, and an ex who has everything I want and got it by dumping myself - but that doesn’t mean I’m willing to give up on living yet! And, holy crap, when I’m plucked off the sidewalk of my rural Colorado town on the very night of my ex’s wedding, I’m pretty damn sure I’m about to lose my life and a whole lot more. If you’ve never tried flying, I do not recommend the first time be when you’re drunk and alone at two in the morning.

Publisher's summary
“Just when I thought I had enough on my plate...fate, or the cosmos or whatever, decides I'm not stressed enough and pours on another helping of what the hell!”
My failure to prevent a particularly nasty demon from completing a ritual to open a portal may have doomed us all unless I can stop what came through. That, of course, is easier said than done. Because what came through happens to be one of the most sadistic and dangerous demons that the eighth level of hell could spit out. I may be a powerful soul-eating demon, but even I don't think that I'm a match for this demon. I know one thing, I'm going to need help.
Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive listeners. The scenes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy, and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won't apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You'll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty.

When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Story
The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

Storyline keeps me buying
I’m liking the police detective storyline through the eyes of a human turned demon. Lots of hot sex doesn’t hurt either. But the narrator was pretty terrible. His growls voice sounded like he had a sick stuffed in his mouth, and his Italian accented voices were woeful. I almost didn’t listen to the book this time having just finished a captivating series by Michael Sullivan, narrated by the phenomenal Gerard Reynolds. The difference in quality of narration was jarring. But, as I said in the title of this review, the storyline keeps me buying.

Bryan's new assignment.
I absolutely love this series. Nicholas Bella takes you where you have never been before. His vision of demons and how they live amongst us is so sensual it is amazingly hot. Maxx Power's narrative skills are enticing. Awaiting for more of this audio version.⚘⚘⚘⚘

Love the series, dislike narrator
I love the demon gates series, I dislike this new narator Maxx power. I prefer the original narrator Michael O' Shea. He brought stories and the characters to live. I hope next installment of this series, they bring back Michael O' Shea.

new narrator
I will say any switch of a voice actor can be jarring to any series, however this switch was a mistake. The new voices are terrible. Not only that but the introdution of the new characters and what their voices sound like are bland and deep and not in a sexy way. Story itself is still good though, so thank you Mr. Bella!
