A doctor living a double life.
By day, Dr. Will Daley is one of Dallas's most eligible bachelors, but every night he dons his leathers as one of Sanctum's most desired Doms. He's sworn off looking for a long-term relationship but is captivated by the club's newest member, Bridget Slaten, even though they couldn't be more different. She comes from a world of privilege and he was raised in poverty. When he discovers she needs a date to her sister's wedding, he makes certain he's literally the only man for the job.
A woman no longer willing to live in the shadows.
For most of her life, Bridget hid herself behind her laptop. She can write romantic, sensuous lives for her characters but not herself. Having Master Will as her date to the wedding is a thrilling prospect but he has a special request. He wants her to accept two weeks of his services as a Dom, a lover, and expert in BDSM, and that is an offer she can't refuse. Their sexual chemistry is undeniable, but it's in the tender moments that Bridget realizes she's falling for a man who might never trust her with his heart.
A love strong enough to cherish.
Together in paradise for a week, Will realizes he can't imagine his life without Bridget. As the wedding approaches, ghosts from their past come back to haunt them and threaten to ruin the peace they've found. With everything exposed, they will have to risk it all to claim the love that can set them both free.

Another great listen!!

I found Bridget to be extremely irritating. Both she wand Will built walls and were closed off. I had to give Will credit that he was honest about what he thought he could offer. The manipulation with the other Doms at the beginning didn't bother me as much as him telling Bridget what he couldn't do, but she still moved forward. I don't know if Bridget ever stopped being irritating to me. I did like the last few chapters in Hawaii.
If the whole D/s, BDSM aspect offends you, then I would suggest you take a pass on this book.
Narration Was Great

This was a great story that could have easily been a full length novel - as a novella it had me wanting more for sure!
Ryan West - once again - does a brilliant job of bringing these characters to life!! I loved listening to this story and that's all Ryan so thank you!!

What made the experience of listening to Cherished the most enjoyable?
The narrator, I am a huge fan of Ryan West. I was very excited to hear the good doctor was going to find the "perfect sub" and not slave. What was one of the most memorable moments of Cherished?
The most memorable moment is when Will kidnaps Bridget from the wedding brunch. I absolutely love the care and attention Will put forth with trying to convince Bridget of his version of Love. What does Ryan West bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The emotion that Ryan West is able to exude through his spoken work is wonderful. There are times when we read books the emotion goes unnoticed until a few paragraphs into a scene. However with this narration it was quite apparent when the characters were struggling to express or just plain ole expressing certain emotions.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was just so happy that the characters found their version of "Happy Ending".Cantankerous and Surly find Love
