Publisher's summary

Is the Grand Canyon big enough to handle all of your worries? I wanted to know that answer, so I walked to the bottom to find out.

For years, nature has taught us so many important lessons. The most important may be that we're a part of nature itself. Hiking has a way of bringing us closer to nature. Healing us. Reminding us of what's important and where our priorities are and should be. It makes us feel small, yet a bigger part of the universe around us.

In this short memoir, I reflect upon the mental healing that occurred in me through being a part of something much bigger than myself. The trails, the mountains, and the Grand Canyon.

Matt and the canyon are both excellent teachers

Matt takes a journey into the canyon, several actually, and we get to join him for the literal and metaphorical experience. There’s a powerful purpose for many and trying to cast troubles away and for some the Grand Canyon has presented an ideal location to attempt this approach. The true epiphany and how we should cast our troubles “away “is something far more difficult and far simpler at the same time. Like any great journey, we not only reach the Destiination but discover some great gems along the path. An excellent read and experience.

Time for Reflection

I enjoyed the Audiobook. Narration was great. The Story was short but I felt it was as long as it needed to be. I’m not one who normally reads (or listens to) self help books but I found the points that the author raised to be impressive. I thought about some of the points made to stay with me for the following weeks. Buy the book and travel with Matt. You may find something you needed.
