The voice was perfect. Storyline incredible. Well written & researched! This will be a story I read & reread to my children. Such bravery & audacity!

An encouraging story of overcoming

I had not read any reviews about this book before listening. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Mr. Bowditch had trial after trial. He worked his whole life by the ash breeze and was never becalmed. He lived honorably and was kind to others.

Great book!

My kids and I really enjoyed the book. The story was full of adventure and portrayed the history period very well. It gave a true look at how hard trade was and also how hard life was.

Such a wonderful true story

Wonderful book. Well read except for some pronunciation of names. The story of a man who used his gifts to eventually change navigation for the better despite difficulties. Well worth a listen.

I think it just needs to be shorter so add more detail to the sentences and make I shorter.this is just for me it is a good book and you should read it.😁😋

A new world for me!

This book introduces the world of mathematics and navigation in a very enjoyable way! I loved the true storyline, easy enough for younger kids to enjoy, but with plenty of related subjects of history, languages, character and human development, weather, nature, geography, cultures, etc. for older scholars to dive into.
