A fitting release...

For the month of May, considering that it's Mental Health Awareness Month and was prominently featured in this story.

Outstanding performances were given by narrators Wesleigh Siobhan, Nicole Small and Winston James.

And as usual Kennedy produced a very well-written, thoroughly researched masterpiece. She handled these characters with love and care!

Better than the first.

Kennedy Ryan out did herself with this one. And what perfect book to release during mental health awareness month. I absolutely loved it!

A total production

What I loved about Reel was that it was a total production (narration, singing & instruments being played) & Score was no different. Getting Dessie's story along with the main characters has been an unexpected treat. A perfectly placed history lesson at a time when it's so important to lean into that history. Verity & Monk really are everything, and Mrs. Ryan has once again delivered a masterpiece of a love story.

Perfection

I can’t even begin to explain how special this book is. There isn’t a single Kennedy Ryan book that I haven’t enjoyed but this is my new favorite of her books. Kennedy always uses her stories to shine a light & give awareness to social or health issues. The way that she not only delicately tells the story of someone with bipolar but also the experiences of those that love that person is remarkable. I cried so hard during this audiobook, listening to Verity’s experience. It reminded me of someone I loved dearly that did not win the battle with their bipolar. In some ways, it helped me with my grief over them. I highly recommend the audiobook for this. Not only does she have 3 of the absolute best narrators with Winston James, Wesleigh Siobhan, & Nicole Small; but just like in Reel, there are moments of music & singing. It brings the whole experience together. This is probably now my top read of 2026 so far.
