To make matters worse, we’re in the same major and get stuck together in classes every semester. It’s like the universe is trying to play a cosmic joke on me. The one guy I’d like to steer clear of is the very same one I can’t seem to get away from.

But what if Rowan isn’t the player I pegged him to be?

What if one little secret has the capability to change everything between us?

decent story, just not super intriguing

it was a cute story following a two individuals. demj telling herself she doesnt want rowan and rowan knowing he wants demi but hiding it from her. my favorite character in the book was actually coach/demis dad. overall it ended nicely which i liked, i was just never hooked

Head over heels

She has sworn off football players, he has always secretly wanted her and he’s a virgin, I mean come on! He tried to keep her safe but hurts her in the process, but when he wins her back it’s everything. I loved listening to this book and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series’s!

ugh why is she such a doormat

I know there is strength in forgiveness but man there ought to be a line when the guy willingly hurts the heroine. Hell at least make him work for it.

Usually a good author but not this time

This book wasn't bad early on (not great, but not bad). Unfortunately there came a point when the two main characters were close to getting together where it all kind of went south for me. I kept with it though because I was somewhat invested and hoped it would be worth it in the end. But, it wasn't. He deliberately did something that he knew would hurt her rather than being an adult and having a conversation and then came knocking when his issue was easily handled by someone else and she barely made him even apologize before *poof* happily ever after.

The big thing that turned me off was the MMC's claim to have been saving himself for the MFC, who he had supposedly had a thing for since they met when he was 14. But, come to find out his status as a virgin was one of those 'technically a virgin' things where he'd done everything - except penetrative sex - with all these other girls throughout high school and 3 years of college. But she just accepted his "status" as proof that he wasn't a womanizing a-hole.

So, yeah... it was a weak premise to build a story around and made the MFC seem weak to accept the claim and fall into his arms. Of course, that was proven true when she let him off the hook so easily in the end as well. So bottom line is, this wasn't worth the 10 hours plus that I gave it.

Didn’t Hook Me

New to me author. Enticed by the blurb. Slow moving. Not much of a story. Bland characters, particularly the female lead. Redundant elements. Not bad but not really good either. Definitely not a page turner. Good narration but I listened at 1.5-1.8 speed just to get through the story. Not worth your time/money imo. 2.5 star story, 4 star narration, 3 stars overall.
