Story
In 2006, Kate MacDougall was working a safe but dull job at the venerable auction house Sotheby’s in London. After a clumsy accident nearly destroyed a precious piece of art, she quit Sotheby’s and set up her own dog-walking company. Kate knew little about dogs and nothing about business, and no one thought being a professional dog walker was a good use of her university degree. Nevertheless, Kate embarked upon an entirely new and very much improvised career walking some of the city’s many pampered pooches, branding her company "London's Number One Dog Walking Agency".

My favorite series of all time
I have already read this entire series in years past, waiting with anticipation for the next book to come out. I can’t describe how much I learned because of the detailed descriptions of flora, fauna, and the ways of past lives. They have stayed with me over the years and come to mind frequently. I will finish the series again, now in Audible. I’m so glad they are available in this format.

Love the story but...
first time I’ve listened. Still love the story of Ayla but have to say that many times the narrator sounded as if she was reading a story to third graders. Almost stopped listening because of it but love of the story prompted me to continue. Not sure if I’ll go on to the second or go back to reading the book.

Story
We begin our stories with an endearing and stimulating tale featuring the tiny dinosaur child who is a little girl called Teri. Teri was born the “runt” of the litter and therefore faces heavy resistance from her siblings as well as from her schoolmates. Her early life becomes quite challenging for the sweet little child. Near the end of the story, she overcomes this life-given handicap by digging out an old book her mother had read to the children when they were toddlers. It was the teachings of mindfulness and meditation and it was called “Tranquility.”

Pugsley is adorable, but he didn't earn the nickname Mr. Pest for nothing and his owners decide he's too much of a handful to keep!
