Chief orthopedic resident, Dr. Rylan Fraser, knows she’s in for a bad on-call night when she arrives in the trauma bay to find a young father barely holding on after a major motorcycle accident. With stress levels skyrocketing, Rylan teams up with the friendly (and handsome) on-call psychiatrist, Dr. Paul Bennet, to puzzle out what’s happening. Nothing is quite what it seems, though. As the night unfolds, Rylan and Paul are pulled deeper and deeper into a sick cat and mouse game in which their very own lives hang in the balance.

Suspense Behind Hospital Doors

A chilling whodunit set in a medical environment and intensified by a raging snowstorm—what could be more psychologically unsettling? The authors do justice to the story, steadily building suspense with each chapter and keeping you guessing throughout. The book also thoughtfully highlights the pressures faced by overworked hospital staff, adding depth to the mystery. The narrator does an excellent job bringing both the tension and the characters to life, making this a gripping listen from start to finish.

Call Game by Graham Elder and Laura Cody is a great psychological medical thriller. Mary Lake did a great job with the narration. The story suspenseful, thrilling, action packed, exciting, interesting, and more.

This is an exciting psychological/medical thriller!!
Hospital, surgeries and a blizzard outside, make for some crazy situations! There are good mysteries and twists throughout!
This book grabbed me from the beginning and held on tight!! I enjoyed the story setting being in a hospital with lots of intense and bizarre situations going on. The multiple POV’s kept me engaged too.
The Chief Resident and new Psychiatrist are in for quite a night!

I was lucky to listen to an audio of this book and the narrator did an excellent job! I enjoyed listening to the story!!

Great medical drama

This book was not what I expected. I was anticipating a medical drama, but instead it turned out to be suspenseful and highly entertaining. It is well written and keeps you wanting to continue listening. The medical aspects are handled very well and are clearly written by someone with firsthand medical experience. I can't wait for the next book.
