Publisher's Summary

Unwilling escort Mia Saunders's journey continues in the second anthology of the Calendar Girl series! In the next three months, Mia heads to Boston, Oahu, and Washington, DC.

In April, she poses as girlfriend to philandering Mason Murphy, a professional baseball player who needs a better image, only to find he's not at all what she expected.

May finds Mia turning up the heat with Samoan model and fire-dancer Tai Niko as she participates in a swimsuit campaign designed to prove that beauty really does comes in all sizes.

Mia rounds out June as the arm candy for Warren Shipley, a member of the wealthy one percenters. Although she's pretending to be a gold-digger, Warren turns out to have a heart of gold. However, his devastatingly handsome son, Aaron, a California Senator, is nowhere near as kind.

So Dang Cheesy!

This story is so dang cheesy, but I am hooked. The writing the characters, the plot are trope-y but there is something endearing. I am struggling with the dialogue and the sex descriptions that I just can't believe that I actually like this. However, it is an original story and now I am curious as to how it all will end.

April and May were good, but June needed a warning

April was a dream come true for Mia, or so she thought. As much as she loved a good baseball game and admired the sexy players from the Boston Red Sox, she was in Boston to play eye candy for one Mason Murphy, the best pitcher they had. And she was all in… until he opened his mouth. He was arrogant and immature and had no idea how to treat a real lady. Women, for him, were a dime a dozen, and he took complete advantage of the situation. The more time Mia spent with the young ball player, the more she learned who he really was and what she needed to teach him in order for him to gain the one thing he truly needed and didn’t realize he craved. May was one of my favorites, too, with the exception of some of the phrasing and repetition. Probably because Mia got to spend the month in Hawaii, portraying a swimsuit model for a campaign that proved “Beauty Comes In All Sizes.” And on the first day on the island, she meets fellow model Tai Niko, a hunk of Native Hawaiian man who had everything going for him, including a hot as hell body, a wonderful family, and confidence in spades. And as fun and sexy as the month with Tai was, there was one thing she couldn’t give him. And that was what he was looking for. I loved all of the culture of this story and of course the way his Tai’s family was so much of that culture. However, I disliked the comparison to the “Rock” and was annoyed with how many times “Samoan” was repeated throughout the story. It turned from irritant to annoying by the end of the month. I did, however, love the story itself. It was extremely steamy, which had a lot to do with how comfortable Tai was in his own skin. And the mystery for this one was a little deeper and connected to his roots. I really liked that about it. June was a good story in that Mia played a central part in helping Warren Shipley figure out what he really needed in his life while playing eye-candy for the wealthy Washington D.C. elitist. However, I believe it really needed a trigger warning in stronger language than what was given and was disappointed that it didn’t have one. *Spoiler Alert* There is an attempted rape in this story and Mia is beaten rather viciously. I understand why it was handled the way it was when all was said and done. And I love the outcome of the situation with Warren Shipley. I also appreciated that she found out how many real friends she’d made along the way while facing this crisis. However, what happened to Mia was horrifying and a warning ahead of time would have gone a long way to getting a higher star rating.

Amazing journey

Any additional comments?

Mia is continuing her journey and it lets her experience friendship, family love, cruelty and most of all opening her eyes to how many people loves her.

I will not go in to each months story but more generally what I like about this books. Dislikes.....eh, not that I can point out.

* Light and fun writing style.
* Lots of dialogues
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Characters described with emotions and in a realistic way
* Hot love scenes

I love that this journey is also a journey for Mia’s awareness of her self, she learns so much about her self as a human in addition to all the people she meets and learn about.

I look forward to the next 3 months with Mia.

* This is bundle 2 in a series and I highly recommend reading from the beginning of this series because that will give more meaning when characters are mentioned.

* I also recommend audio for these books as they have a very good narrator.

Happy reading!

Exciting life journey continues…

I enjoyed listening to this book. It has a great mix of humor, romance, hot sex, people's emotions, friendships, and lesson learn sections. The story has a nice flow to it. The author makes you feel like you are there, getting new friends and falling in love. I also like the matchmaking abilities of Mia. She incurable romantic and successfully tries to set up together new people she meets. The narrator is great. She is great at using different voices for characters and displaying their emotions based on the situation.
