Unique, heartwarming and fascinating perspective of a family's journey. How the in between moments...the ordinary days...can build a garden of a life well lived.

Ultimate decision

A very emotional topic that everyone will face - illness and death. Well written but the back and forth time frames got annoying to me (and I usually don’t mind that). I felt it dragged and if it had been a book instead of audiobook I would have skipped to the end. I thought the love story so idyllic that it wasn’t realistic The author introduced the misunderstanding of her mother’s actions toward her, but never developed the subject. The ending was predictable but satisfying.

How to say Love in many ways

The reason I gave only three stars was because the author seemed overly concerned with the many forms of love and ways to express it. It became mildly tiring to me, even though some scenes were fraught with anger or irritation. The family, an extended one, swirls around the principal characters, and shows how the enduring love of their parents impacted their attitudes.

All in all an enjoyable book, in spite of all the ways love was expressed.

This is a beautiful book. One to be cherished. Books like this one consume me entirely. You will find this brings tears to your eyes and such emotion to your heart and soul It will feed you in ways you didn’t know you were hungry to be fed. Take the time to listen to this read as the actors bring the written words of this book to life, to truly impart love and joy into the melody of the song and story of your own life.

A fairly decent love story.

Love is different for all of us. This story felt familiar to me. I/we (my husband and I) have had similar thoughts as the couple in this emotional roller-coaster of a book. It kept me thinking, guessing and hoping. Not a bad read.

Narrators were good but not a good fit

I liked the book. Interesting topic - would be good to read and debate with friends. The narrators were great in their own right but mismatched. Andi sounds like she's 30 and Robert sounds like he's 60. It would of been better to have Andi do all the parts where they were younger and Robert do the parts where they were older - but it was a mixed bag and didn't make sense. It distracted me. It wasn't until the end that I sped up from 1.3 to 1.5, I should of done that sooner as it was a bit slow moving.
