Tense!

Beware of malevolent spirits! Makes you glad your house isn't haunted.

Kasi Hollowell did a great job narrating.

Great story

I love the characters and how they work together to right the wrongs. I can't wait to read next book.

creepy haunted house.

This book is for those who enjoy a good ghost story that isn't too scary. Lots of ghosts. Lots of sub plots. Interesting characters. It starts a little slow. But hang in there. The narration was good. She could have made it sound a little bit scarier. I really like her male voices. 4 stars for her. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the author through Story Origin.

A town's hero and its dark historical truth

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated once again by Kasi Hollowell, whose performance truly captures that tragic and complex story that unfolds. This absolutely harrowing and darkly poignant profound sequel to Hanging House begins as we witness the intense ghostly spirit that would claim the lives of Emmie's parents, leaving behind so much grief and questions for Emmie to understand and of Lake Eden; and Finn's newest obsession. As Finn works in discover the house's secrets, he falls for a mysterious woman named Josie, who also has an obsession with Caine House... but for darker purposes that will entwine Finn, Emmie and Sarah. The true history surrounding Lake Eden and its prominent hero of Victor Caine is one of dark greed, ghostly battles that will leave their mark upon the realm world and tragic story that needs to be heard. A beautiful, engrossing story you can't put down... or forget, highly recommended.

I thought this was a great ghost story! Kept me interested until the end and looking forward to the next in series!
