This book was exactly what I needed! I feel so empowered and motivated after this. I really appreciate Bernadette’s perspective including such an emphasis on taking care of yourself and not just employing all the old fashioned, soul sucking methods to reach financial freedom.

She shares some good insight and really opened my mind about the importance of paying off all debt—including your home. I’ve read a lot on this subject, so I was pleasantly surprised to come across a few new ideas I hadn’t heard before. Definitely worth the read for anyone serious about financial freedom

Bernadette makes personal finance relatable all while making it as easy as learning your ABCs. Her graceful yet authoritative approach to personal finance is very refreshing. I highly recommend this book for encouragement yet a swift kick in the pants to financial freedom.

Although, this book gives positive feedback on investing. The book is solely geared towards individuals who do not have children and who are not fully thinking about creating generational wealth. The book seem to give alot of contradiction. Ex. the author states that she sold two paid off homes just to proceed to live in an apartment and pay rent so that she could be close to her daily amenities. However in previous chapters she talks about not buying expensive cars to look flashy stick with a paid off vehicle. And save up if you need a new one. I also feel that the authors concept of paying off interest seems a little off. She explains how to avoid interest but not fully how to manage interest that you are already locked into. Ex paying an extra monthly payment towards the principal to cut down the time and overall interest on a loan. The book has a lot of good concepts, but needs a few revisions.
