Inspiring, informative, and paradigm-shifting

Even as someone who is not new to personal finance and investing, I learned so much from this book. Recently, I began thinking about how to not only build financial freedom for myself (which I’ve already done), but also for the future family that I want to have. To reach the next level, the big leagues, so to speak. That’s why I picked up this book. I learned many helpful frameworks for how to build wealth, think about risk, make smart financial decisions, and even just how to approach life. That’s what I liked most about the book. The author understands that money by itself doesn’t mean anything. Money is just a tool to help you become the person you most want to be and live the life you most want to live. Rather than walking away with only a long list of financial to-dos, you’ll walk away with a deep sense of purpose for WHY it matters. Taking care of your money (and building your money machine) will have positive ripple effects for your life, for everyone you love, and even future generations. This book will change the way you see and think about money. I highly recommend it!

Mind Blowing!

The blend of being easy to follow with actionable items was a game changer for helping me get clear on my goals, then create a plan, then take action WITHOUT getting overwhelmed.


I feel that the intimidating financial world was brought down to an attainable level.


I love how Mel approaches the innate ability we all have to get a grip on our financial future no matter where we are starting from.

Building your money machine, a life-changing book

This book is so important to me that I am part of a book club where we will be breaking its lessons down for a minimums of a month to make sure we haven’t missed anything. I initially discovered and was drawn to Mel Abraham when I watched one of his presentations not long ago in GrowthDay where he discussed a few key points also found in this book. I kept stopping and starting the recording taking detailed notes. Mel is an excellent presenter who speaks from his heart and truly cares to help people. He makes the subject of money easy to understand and lets us know that “investing isn’t only for the wealthy but it is the path to wealth”. That is one of my favorite quotes by him because it’s something that kept me from saving for a very long time. I thought I didn’t make enough to save or invest. Mel teaches us how in this book and he does so in a way that makes it fun and interesting. I purchased the audible version because Mel is such an outstanding speaker and also bought the hard copy book to highlight and mark it up like a text book. Do yourself, your family and community a favor… read this book so that you can make a difference in your life and theirs.

Great for beginners

Gives you the how and why, allows you to think critically about your goals, then Provides action steps, and it Makes investing doable. I want to give everyone I know this book. Great read!

Excellent framework and guide!

Mel put into words exactly what I have been trying to explain to our adult children, so much so that I decided to just order more copies I can give them so they can go through the steps in his easy to follow guide.

Absolutely inspiring and amazing book

I could listen to this man speek for hours. His examples are so genuine and real and stories are so detailed that it was one of the most easy reads of a personal finance book I have ever read. Some financial recommendations are a little light on details but overall an amazing book. Thanks Mel, I am truly inspired!!!

Loved this book. It is filled with enough ideas to retire wealthy!

I read a ton of books and listen to even more on audible. I love learning. I have been thinking about what I will do when I retire and what age I want to do it. It is very hard to emotionally decide. But for most they don’t have enough in investments and savings to be able to financially retire. From what my old friend Mel H Abraham says many are not capable of retiring and have a very small amount of money allocated for it.

I have been blessed with understanding money since I was a young child. I invested in real estate at a young age and knew I needed to save for the future. I have been self employed my entire life. Don’t get me wrong I have also lost money on deals and investments. In this book Mel lays out how to set up for retirement no matter what your age. He literally teaches you how to build a money machine that will work for you.

I highly recommend this book. Mel spells it out and doesn’t hold anything back. I give this five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ with booster 🥷🏿 ninja.

Finally! A book that actually gives actionable steps that are rooted in solid facts and psychology

What I love most is that the author is not trying to shove anything down your throat, but simply speaking the truth about the math of money and what will help you create it, how you may be losing it if you’re not careful, and how to protect it as you go forward in life.

I think of this should be made as part of curriculum in high school as many people would be in a very different position in life how they read this when they were first starting out.

I like that many of his chapters begin with a question that we often times find in our own heads. It not only makes it real for us (because we have asked the same questions at some point in our life), but it actually gives us some certainty and confidence in the various options that Mel lays out so that we can choose our path depending on our own individual circumstances.

I bought the physical book because I also wanted the graphics. I also got the audible book so I can also listen to it while traveling, doing things around the house etc. to really help it sink in even more. You can definitely hear the sincerity in Mel’s voice…

In both reading the book and listening to the audible, the one thing for parents that stands out is “never pass on assets before passing on skill sets” 👍🏼
