Publisher's Summary

The PMP exam is the golden standard for project management professionals, but let's face it - it's tough to stay conscious when reading the PMBOK. This audiobook is the antidote. Everything you need to know to pass the PMP exam is included. It is literally one third the size in content compared to some of the more popular tomes out there. All that fluff has been removed and boiled down to the straight facts, plus enough glue to bring it all together so that it makes sense. Those uber-fancy terms and run-on sentences have been removed so you can quickly understand what is being said, instead of having to go over the same sentence three times.

This audiobook has been updated for the PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition, which includes all sorts of greatness over the previous edition including the following changes:

  • An updated PMI's Talent Triangle
  • A focus on schedule instead of time
  • Three new processes have been added
  • One process has been removed
  • Monitor is the new Control
  • An increase in the number of ITTOs
  • A recognition that agile methodologies now rule the planet

Enjoy a fun-but-serious way of learning the PMP material, which includes some great mnemonics on memorizing knowledge areas, processes, and process groups.

Please note that chapters may not have a descriptive name as displayed on your mobile device - this is limitation of the publishing platform. However, each chapter will always start with the title being read aloud, so it should be fairly simple to scan through chapters when you wish to revisit a subject.

wish i could get version 5.0

Any additional comments?

Great book but I'm taking the PMP exam under PMBOK 5 and would love your previous version. I"m keeping you version 6 as it is an awesome tool.

Like having lists read to you?

I didn't think was great. It's really just someone reading lists upon lists out loud. No real world stories or examples to relate the material to something meaningful or understandable. Little to no commentary on how everything fits or works together. This was secondary study material for me so it was ok, but look elsewhere if you want a primary study resource.

It added value to my study while I’m driving

The book simplifies definitions and enhanced knowledge of some things that were not clarified even in my class

Thanks Mr Phil Martin

Excellent work

The narrator is the author so the stress on terms, processes, and ideas are perfect

Welcome PMP guide

What did you like most about Simple PMP?

I didn't think a PMP audio book made sense, but this is well thought out and well read. I'm only up to chapter 6 but already it's made a dry subject an interesting listen, and I'm looking forward to the rest.
