Essential CISM has been written with a single goal in mind - to present the CISM material in a way that is easy to absorb without leaving any content behind. Plenty of examples are included to drive the points home so that when it comes time to take the CISM exam, you are ready!

This exam guide covers all four ISACA domains, including:

• Information security governance
• Information risk management
• Information security program development and management
• Information security incident management

The book is broken down into two sections.

Section 1 covers basic concepts you will need to understand before hitting each domain. The CISM official exam guide is overwhelmingly redundant across the domains, and so in this book you will encounter each topic once instead of having to rehash the same subject in different (and chaotic) ways. By the time you start covering the domains, you will already be 60 percent of the way there!

Section 2 presents the four domains and ties together the concepts covered in Section 1, plus subjects that are unique to each domain.

Please note that chapters may not have a descriptive name as displayed on your mobile device - this is limitation of the publisher platform. However, each chapter will always start with the title being read aloud, so it should be fairly simple to scan through chapters when you wish to revisit a subject.

Solid Content

I listened to this quite a bit over the last several weeks. The content itself was very good, however, there were a few segments where it skips the content.

Helped me pass CISM

Because of my daily commute time, this audio book became a daily listen in the month leading up to the exam, and certainly helped me achieve a good score. Thank you Phil Martin.

I believe the best way to pass exams like CISM is to use multiple study resources. This audiobook alone is not enough for such a tough exam, but its a great addition to other resources. I have used Phil's audiobooks for both CISA and CISM, and both were great resources.

You Need This

Excellent. Phil delivers concepts in a way that is not too complex nor too simple. You'll want to listen to everything, but you probably won't need to hear it more than once. Listen to what Phil has to say from beginning to end and commit yourself to at least a moderate focus on the content. Assuming you have at least some experience/knowledge in the field, if you do this, 10 minutes into the exam you'll be confident that you're well prepared to pass it.

great Audio book for CISM info

I am using this book to review CISM content while working on other tasks for effectively using my time to prepare for reading and practice tests.

this is a great tool to help learn the materials and help get topics to sink in as a normal thought process in approaching CISM cybersecurity.
