This has to be one of my favorite audiobooks of 2023! The storyline is great and the narrators did a fantastic job! This a a forbidden age-gap stepfather romance that doesn’t have the deepest storyline but definitely keeps you engaged. Super light mafia themes and a little enemies to lovers. Although I HIGHLY recommend, definitely check your trigger warnings.…There are some things that some people may not like or do not enjoy in their romances (I.e. cheating (not on each other), forced pregnancy). This book is forbidden, steamy, and so so good. Absolutely recommend!

Dark, Taboo & Delicious!

Forced into marriage, Lazzaro is going to rebel any chance he can. In order to receive his inheritance, he is expected to have a baby with his new wife. What would be the best way to defy the order? Sleep with his stepdaughter. Mia is attracted her stepfather but wans nothing to do with him. Closer to her age that her mother's it would seem only they would be the couple, but Laz just likes to bully her and make her uncomfortable. Until he doesn't. Feelings get in the way, but it doesn't help situation he is in, does it? Lilith Vincent has loaded all the taboos in this one, melding them together and creating a dark and delicious listen. Age gap, stepfather, virgin, playboy, unexpected pregnancy, it's all there and masterfully blended together. It's spicy, exciting and the kind of story you root for the underdogs! I enjoyed this first installment to Brutal Hearts!

Gideon Frost plays the perfect Laz. A bit angry, and misunderstood, he comes through as a teddy bear hearted, loving man. As Mia, PJ Morgan finds her voice as the unwanted child. I could feel her pain, her need to be loved and it is clearly emotional. I loved these two together. It's a great listen.

Arranged marriage. Laz is only ten years older than her. He is closer to Mia’s age then her mother’s. Laz only agreed to the marriage to gain his inheritance. Laz starts hanging around Mia to anger his wife at first. Then he starts have feelings for Mia. This is a forbidden slightly taboo dark romance. PJ Morgan and Gideon Frost did an amazing job narrating this book.

Best listen ever

I have listened to around 600 stories. This one I have listened to twice. This one is the best I have ever heard. Loved the narrators also!

It's Twisted in all the Right ways...

It was cringy at the beginning but I started loving it. There were really likeable characters and HOT moments. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. Highly Recommend.

Dark Romance

This is the first book in the Brutal Hearts Series. Lazzaro/Laz and Mia's forbidden romance is dark, fast-paced, passionate, original, and intriguing. Laz is Mia's new stepfather. He is alpha, dominant, and possessive. Mia is naive, virgin, and impulsive. This is an interesting dark romance, filled with drama, and danger. Great narration from Gideon Frost and PJ Morgan. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. #TheFlockOnTour

Fun and Enticing

Brutal Intentions is a spicy, forbidden romance between a young woman and her stepfather. Who knew that the man sleeping in your mother's bed would become the love of your life?
I applaud LV for writing an enticing and entertaining story. I picked up this audiobook a few days ago and listened straight through the whole book in one sitting. Gideon Frost and PJ Morgan did a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life. Their narration along with the author's writing style held my attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed the banter between Mia and Lazarro, but the piping-hot chemistry between them was the reason why I could not hit pause. Now that I've had a taste, I'll be looking forward to reading more of Lilith Vincent's work.

Forbidden, Taboo & Delicious!

Lazzaro is married to Mia’s mother, but it was an arranged marriage forced on by his older brother in order for him to gain his inheritance. HOWEVER, no one could have predicted that Laz would have eyes for his step-daughter, and do everything in his power, and go to great lengths to make her his. The chemistry between these characters was scorching, passionate, and downright brutal!

This book was one wild, taboo, and forbidden story that I could not put down! The prohibited aspect of their relationship makes this story even more captivating. Lilith did an incredible job with the depth and provoking topics that were gripping, intense, and meandering. From the twists, turns, and drama to the character development and plot line, it kept me intrigued and sitting on the edge of my seat to see how everything would play out.

This is my first book I have listened to narrated by Gideon Frost, and it’s shocking that more authors are not knocking down his door for him to narrate their book! Gideon captured Laz’s alpha hole tendencies so well, and he exhibited his impulsive and reckless behavior where Mia was concerned with the utmost brevity. The obsession that could be heard in Gideon’s performance left me devouring this audiobook in a day, and I wish it never ended. He has absolutely shot up to the top of my list for male narrators that I will be keeping an eye out on!

PJ Morgan did a phenomenal job in portraying Mia’s innocence and youth. You could hear the emotions reflected in her tone when the character felt anger, sadness, pain, and naivety. PJ finds her voice by expressing Mia’s vulnerabilities and yearning for freedom under the hands of her family and realizing she deserves her own happiness and will fight to get it. This was also my first book to hear from her, but I am for sure, going to look for more of her work!

After reading a few reviews by people I trust, I wasn't hoping for much on this book. But overall, I was pleased by it. I think that had a lot to do with the audiobook narration, which I enjoyed. I am not a fan of cheating, which this book has, but as neither party wanted the marriage, it was basically a non-issue. Though I still do have a slight problem with it, as it was behind the spouse's back, and they could have easily made an arrangement to see other people. What I didn't love about the book, was that the H was so weak. He came from a crime family, and even though he repeated throughout the book that he didn't want that life, he came off as pathetic in quite a few situations. He was beat up multiple times, and ran from fights. That just isn't what we as readers have come to want in our book boyfriends, especially when it's a mafia-adjacent/darkish book. BUT, he does redeem himself in my eyes with the heroine, as the way he loves her, THAT is on point!
