Publisher's summary

My name is Harper Apple, and people say I’m rotten to the core. I’m not the only one.

The Dolce boys aren’t just dangerous, privileged, rich alphaholes. They’re a gang of three psychopaths backed by a pack of enablers and worshipped by their fangirls. And I want in.

When I witness their unhinged, shocking violence firsthand, I know I can’t let them continue to ruin lives the way they’ve done for the past few years. I have to stop them. If they’re too powerful to be taken down by the founders of the town, though, how can one girl from the wrong side of the tracks stand a chance?

The answer is easy.

It has to be an inside job.

They’re not about to open their exclusive circle to the likes of me, but if I play my cards just right, I might just get in with the Dolce boys. But what can a girl with nothing to lose offer a boy who has everything?

And when I find out, will I be willing to pay the price of admission?

Love this series!

Can’t wait for book 3. I love the grittiness, the raw emotion behind the choices both sides make in this battle between a vendetta and a chance at real love. Highly recommend to those who like the bully romance genre.

Incredible

When I tell you that I could not put this book down I am not kidding. I fell head over heels for this series and will most likely binge the whole thing. The FMC really steps it up in this book after the cliffhanger for book 1. We get an absolute bomb dropped on us in this book's final chapter, which has me at its mercy. We start to understand the MMC a bit more and we get smut in this book that is so steamy you may need a cool-down lap or two after.

Good book bad narration

I think the content of the book is interesting and keeps you on your toes but I don’t understand the issue with the male narrator. His flow is off and even with a narration Speed turned up he still sounds choppy and at times way to slow. It’s even worse when he’s reading the poem or imitating Harper with a southern accent. I think if he were to just talk in his normal voice without inserting an accent or emotion he would probably be fine. I just jumped the gun and bought both book 1 and book 2 at the same time but I’m going to continue on to Kindle starting on book three and on. The female narrator says OK even though her accent for to come and go. I would much rather them to a normal voice then to fake an accent and struggle throughout the book.

Hurts so good.

This series is so dark and addictive.
Royal and Harper.
We shouldn’t want them together but cannot imagine them apart.
Royal fights his feelings but they’re still there.

annoying fmc

annoyingly irritating. WAY TOO MUCH RIDICULOUSLY MORONIC DIALOG! from a fmc who actions literally contradict every word of her exasperating dialog. i had to fast-forward a few times just to get through it. At one point about 3/4 of the way through i just said fuck it and returned the audiobook. Shamefully in the morning i was still curious about questions left unanswered and greedy for the ending and the conclusion surrounding the entire dolce and darling families. So i repurchased the audiobook and now I'm off to the next.

Just skip the audio and head to kindle

The male narrator is HORRIBLE!!! I’ve been going back and forth between kindle and audio and the audio makes me cringe. There wasn’t much of the male narrator in the first audiobook so I could ignore his parts but it’s hard to listen to this book. I’m just pushing through because I want to continue the story while I’m at work. He gives Royal a southern accent even though he is suppose to have a New York accent. He reads too slowly and choppy. Sounds like there is a period after every word lol. So skip the audiobook is you can and just read the book
