I Can't Get Enough Of This Series!!!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Brutal Asset the most enjoyable?

As much as I like the world I feel its the characters that make this an enjoyable series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brutal Asset?

The death a certain character came close to making me cry.

Have you listened to any of James Patrick Cronin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He has voice the last two books of the series as well as the remain books currently available.and gives the characters a better voice than anything I could think of in my head.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!!!!

Any additional comments?

This series only gets better with each book, any fan of urban fantasy should at the very least give this series a try.

Great characters

Any additional comments?

Most good books have a great main character and a few interesting secondary characters. I find most of the secondary characters just as interesting as the main. Only complaint, I felt the story stalled a few times, especially Chris at school. Overall though, great narration and a great listen!

Very Enjoyable Listen

This series is a great getaway series. Lots of action and humor. Easy to follow storyline, likeable characters and plenty of characters to hate. I like that you don't have to read (listen) to 3 books to get some closure. I almost gave up after book 2 thinking it might be a wee bit too violent for me, but bought book 3 and I am glad I did. I find myself laughing out loud in public places and getting strange looks, but can't help myself. Overall a very enjoyable series.

Consistent and getting better.

Any additional comments?

Again! This is not literary award material and I don't think it's intended to be. If you are looking for mind bending edge of your seat literature there are lots of other tittles from other authors! This is my third listen of the series and I'm getting attached to some of the characters. Some books are meant for reading others for listening. Conroe falls in this last category, fast moving urban phantasy, lots of action, a bit of romance, a dab of funny, a drop of technology, a smidgeon of gunplay, but above all: an easy listen...

I'm So Cool that Even My Weaknesses are Awesome!

First book was good, second slipped, third book has just gone too far. I've seen stories done right with a superhuman person who grows gradually in power. That's not our hero. He goes from special to Superman in 2 books. His weaknesses are his Super hot Vamp GF and having to eat a ton? Seriously?

fun and exciting!

I've just got to keep going. the characters are intriguing and powerful. Chris doesn't ever seem to lose, like most of us in life, but his situations and growing power is always interesting.

Annoying

Annoying!

The ONLY reason that I will put the next on my future list is because I am interested in the God/Angel aspect. As for the rest of the book I'm just annoyed. This book was like a morning without coffee☕... not going anywhere good.

All the women want him... like a purple-eyed Christian Gray. All the men are intimidated by him. He can kill anything in less than 10 seconds yet you'll get 6 minutes worth of descriptions.

2 Stars⭐⭐- Decent. Has Potential. Possibly a good idea for a story but something could have been better. Sometimes it's because the author put too little or too much into the wrong parts of the story. New authors sometimes fall in this ranking and move up as their series progresses. Doesn't mean I hated it. Just means it was missing something to push it over the hump.

Love this series

Loved this series. Its even better how the narrator gives a voice to each character and you really feel all emotions from his voices, joy, sadness, humor, this has lead me to by the rest of this series and lots more books the narrator does.
