A descendant of the druid who participated in the original challenge, Liam Knox doesn’t know anything about the Accords or his ancestors, but those seeking to maintain the status quo are hunting him, and the beings of myth are doing their best to convince him to help the Exiled Gods return to the world of man, bringing magic back with them.

Liam is faced with a choice he doesn’t want, and if he chooses wrong, he risks more than his own life - he could end the world as we know it. And he’s running out of time to decide.

All the sex takes away from the story

A fun premise, but all the sex takes away from a story that has promise. The writing devolves into sex as the central topic, or primary or secondary motivator for most of the characters. It gets tired quickly. I’ll not be listening to the rest of the series unfortunately.

Great story

It's a fun story and it's well done. If you like stories about druids and fae you will probably like this

Interesting premise

To be utterly frank, I haven't finished this one yet. I don't know if I'll be able to, despite the interesting premise and the, so far, likable characters. Because the narration is so so very jarring. it's clear he's made a lot of effort. But the terrible, awful accents are so egregious that the slight timing issues and other minor flaws seem far more pronounced. I keep getting thrown out of my immersion into the storyline every time a character voice switches, as I stop to reflect on the awful accent. I will continue my efforts to get through at a later date. Maybe I can get used to the narration enough to finish the story.

Not as awful as some people say but issues with completely unnecessary oversexualization and poorly written female characters

Good but short.

I like the book, light but with interesting concepts. Unfortunately each book is too short for me to spend a credit on. I do appreciate the freebie and will watch for a boxed set offer.
