Story
Chris Lomax swore he’d never return to Saugatuck, but nothing could have prevented him from coming home to the small lakeside town, not once he saw the news about the fire - and Hunter, the only person ever to steal his heart. He must make sure Hunter is okay, and service dog Lucy could lend a helping paw. Firefighter Hunter Drake never expected to see Chris again. He thought he’d lost his best friend for good when Chris jilted Hunter’s sister at the altar. What he doesn’t understand is why Chris came back - and why he won’t leave.

Story
Recently-divorced Joel is finally living as a gay man, but he’s not sure he’s ready to jump into a relationship. That doesn’t stop him from noticing his new contractor’s muscular build, hewn from hard, physical work, or his storm-colored eyes. The icing on the cake? There’s more to Finn than good looks. Maybe he’s the perfect guy to share long walks on the beach and warm nights in front of a fire. But it’s been 20 years since Joel was with a man. While he’s not forgotten how to flirt, he’s nervous about making a move. Especially with Finn.

I met Matt in second grade, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We went to the same schools; studied at the same college. When we both got jobs in the same town, we shared an apartment. And when my life took an unexpected turn, Matt was there for me. Every milestone in my life, he was there to share it. And what’s really amazing? After all these years, we’re still the best of friends. And I want to tell him I love him, really love him, but I’m scared to death of what he’ll say.

Story
Growing up in a small town in Georgia hasn't prepared him for the more liberal life of a student at the university in Athens. Add to that the teachings of his parents and his church, and you have one shy young man who feels out of his depth. Working on his daddy's farm hasn't given him any chance of a social life, certainly not one like the clubs of Atlanta have to offer. Not that Tommy feels comfortable when he gets to sample it - Momma's lectures still ring loudly inside his head.

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Publisher's Summary
A friends-to-lovers novella that came from Out of the Shadows because Nate and Dylan needed a story....
Nate and Dylan have been pals for a long time. So what if their friends think they’ve got a little bromance going? Doesn’t mean there’s anything more to it than that, right? And even if there is, Nate and Dylan are totally oblivious....
Until the night they share a drunken kiss, and everything changes.

Narrator a bit OTT
This was adorable! I don’t remember these guys at all from Out of the Shadows – but that’s ok.
I loved how cute they were together and the “discovery” smexy times were hot, hot, hot!
There is pretty much no angst and just a sweet and sexy deepening of feelings.
Highly Recommended!

Daniel Henning is new to me and he did not impress me this time around. While he did a nice job with pronunciation and was easy to understand and I felt like his voice quality/intonation was nice – his voices felt like caricatures and didn’t feel authentic. He was a bit OTT at times and that is a drag.
I did not feel drawn into the story and I was a bit disappointed. I wouldn’t avoid him – he is new – but this wasn’t a great start.

Not for me
Nate and Dylan has been joined at the hip and best friends forever. Being stood up by their friends they decides to have a fun evening together anyways. Only things go further than either of them planned and that night has the potential to ruin their friendship forever or change into something else, something more.
Bromantically Yours is a story we've all read before. I can't say that it really brings anything new to the game. Done well this could still have been a cutesy story to spend an afternoon with. But it wasn't. It was a bit too shallow and mindless (or plot-less) and I never connected to anyone in this book. I do appreciate effortless and drama free reads at times, but at the same time I need somethingto keep me interested. And on another note, this book is a spinoff from another book WeIl's written, but never felt like I was missing out on anything, it works well as a standalone.
Daniel Henning didn't do anything for this book. On the contrary actually. He was too much and not enough at the same time. Some parts were over dramatized and to the point where it all just sounded a bit ridiculous, other times there were no feeling near his narration. He never made you connect with the story and I found myself feeling mostly annoyed through out the story. On the plus side, Henning had a very pleasant voice to listen to and I do believe he has potential for narrating books, but I think I'll wait for him to get some more practice before picking up more of his books.
I picked this book up on a gamble, knowing it could be a cute short story or a bad one. Sadly it ended up in the latter part. There were some cute and fun moments, but not enough of them for me to recommend this to anyone.

Bromantically Yours
4.5 stars for the book
4 stars for the narration
This book is a shorter novella that’s a spin-off from the book “Out of the Shadows” by the K.C. Wells. With that being said, I have not read or listened to that book and I made it through this one just fine without being lost or confused with all of the characters. This book can certainly be read and/or listened to as a standalone.
What could go wrong when two drunk guys who have been friends since they were kids make the decision to “watch some porn together?”
Dylan and Nate have been friends since they were 8 years old, like 15+ years. I love that they are both totally and completely clueless of their feelings for each other at the start of this book, they are really just friends, but so obviously (to everyone else) more than “just friends”. I really enjoy the friends to lovers trope in books, especially when it’s the first time really experiencing new feelings for someone of the same gender you wouldn’t normally like in that way. It was refreshing that they kind of fumbled their way through their feelings and different aspects of their relationship taking the time to make sense of it all. They didn’t just jump into bed together and that gave this book more of a real-life feeling to it. Omg, and when they do get together it is totally awkward and fumbling, and funny, cause they have no clue what they are doing, that’s the way sex with someone you know and have a connection with should be, it should be fun as well as steamy. The narration for this part was amusing to listen to as well. And all the embarrassing advice they get from their well-meaning friends throughout the book is pretty funny as well. Nate and Dylan end up being the most adorable couple together.
Audio – This is my first time getting a chance to hear a book by the narrator Daniel Henning and I was delightfully surprised by how much I liked his rendition of this book. He gave us two different voices for each of the main characters that were distinctive enough to keep track of who was talking during the book. I’m always a little worried when I hear new narrators on books from authors I love but I really think he did well with this one and wouldn’t mind getting more of his audiobook narrations to add to my library. Cute book and good narration of the audiobook.

I couldn't finish it.
Maybe it will better if I read it myself. I like Henning's voice, it just didn't work for me with this story. I had a hard time telling the difference between the characters. I kept backtracking trying to figure out who said what. I gave up. I'll just read the Kindle version, it might be a good read.

Short, but sweet.
Daniel Henning is a new-to-me narrator and overall he did a nice job with the pacing, timing, and adding distinctive character voices, but I personally found it a bit perplexing that his character voices for Nate and Dylan became more effeminate as the audiobook progressed. However, overall it was a cute, short listen.
Bromantically Yours is short, but sweet, light, no-angst, friends to lovers romance told in a dual POV and can absolutely be read as a standalone even though the characters first appear in Wells’s Out of the Shadows. However, if you skip Out of the Shadows you will miss some of the initial setup and background into how Nate and Dylan’s friendship evolved with one another and how it’s viewed by others prior to their epiphany here.

Liked the story, narration, not so much.
Best friends become lovers in this short, sweet story. It was fun listening as they each navigated the change in their relationship, their doubts about the changes that were happening, and ultimately the evolution to lovers. Wells is such a great storyteller, there was a lot of content for such a short book.
Narration, oiy and vey. I don't understand why the narrator had to give every character in the book a flamboyant, effeminate tone. The majority of the characters were male, it would have been nice if there was some sexy growl, deep baritone, even angst would have worked. Were it not for Wells stellar writing, I would have dumped this one fifteen minutes in.
Overall I loved the story but, sorry folks, didn't care for the narration.

Delightful shorter read.
I really liked this warm & fuzzy, full of sweetness (and some heat) bromance. The self-discovery and awakening is one of my favorites and K. C. does that so very well. A shorter read, chock full of sweetness, humor, friends to loves, and steam, this book is definitely worth a try.
Daniel Henning is a new to me narrator, and I liked his performance. He brought the right amount of emotion and distinction to each voice. Very well done.
