Sawyer and Troy

Broken Daddy is book 9 in the Timberwood Cove series and can be enjoyed as a standalone. Sawyer, an alpha shifter, is trying and failing to get over his ex who left him for his fated mate. Now the last thing he needs is to be in a relationship, cue the door as his fated mate, Troy, walks in pregnant with someone else's baby, and also happens to be human. I just love their story. I love Sawyer's protectiveness towards Troy and the baby.
Narrator Thomas Hart does a fabulous job in bringing these characters to life.

Complicated Courtship for Unexpected Fated Mates

Alpha wolf shifter Sawyer is still reeling from a broken heart when - to his surprise - he discovers his fated mate, Troy. That Troy is a strong human omega who knows not of the shifter world and is accidentally pregnant by another shifter only complicates their tentative courtship, and the ramifications provide a fair amount of angst throughout the story.

Narrator Thomas Hart delivers a solid performance, with voices ranging from soft and sensitive to deep and commanding. It did seem like Troy and Sawyer's voices should've been swapped, but they were distinct, nonetheless.

This book includes many standard "shifter story" elements - alpha/omega relationships, mpreg, knotting, fated mates, claiming, and pack dynamics - and it may be worth noting that the "Daddy" here has everything to do with mpreg rather than Daddy kink.

Despite jumping into this series with Book 9, I didn't have any issues following along. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

broken daddy

This was so unique and the storyline is multilayered , and I was totally consumed by it all. The issues are current day, but the situations are pure fantasy and it still resonated deeply with me.. I experienced a myriad of emotions while listening to this and a load of warm and fuzzies. What an ending!!?? I need more asap. The narrator was great. I voluntarily listened to this and am giving an honest review

Story comment: well-written story, good pace and complex characters.
I enjoyed watching Sawyer lean to deal with the complication of his mate being pregnant by another shifter, add that father back into the picture and things got interesting.

Narrator comment: Thomas Hart is a new narrator for me and I really enjoyed his performance of Broken Daddy. He has good rhythm and the intonations and inflections in his narration all worked to bring the story and its characters to life. I look forward to more from him in the future.
